I always had the most confidence in him out of all our summer signings. Our head of recruitment has signed him 3x now - he had to be the real deal for Vivell to have been that sold on him

I think besides the footballing attributes, Vivell probably also knows a lot about his character, that he is a hardworking down to earth lad. These are qualities that will help him behind the scenes and lessen the risks of buying him.

Yeah, I have seen him try fancy tricks that more often than not don’t come off. Maybe when he’s a bit refined those will be genuine weapons if it isn’t coached out of him.

Right now, and maybe for the future it looks like we are wanting to use him for his box presence and not as a target player, which may blunt his ball technique a little bit, but I guess we’ll see.

He’s not what I would call a skillful striker though.

Think he's just settling in. He was doing tricks at Leipzig and had some nice dribble goals

Watching how Haaland has improved his link up play over the last few years makes me hope that Sesko will perfect that area of his game.

Sesko has good interlinking ability already but its still a bit too soft. It's like he has the right idea but not the right timing for it to click.

In 2 or 3 years i can see that all clicking in to place.

Watching how players like Welbeck & Mateta prime as very good strikers later in their career - giving Sesko time to enter his prime is exciting but like resistance training needs to be pushing him self bit by bit.

That's a great point.

I was so excited with this goal. A proper no.9 goal. I lost my voice shouting after this goal

Ever since a poster mentioned it I have noticed that the other players don't celebrate his goals much. Hope he has friends in the squad, he is the only Eastern European. Seems happy here regardless.

It was strange to see the muted reaction to a goal that put us ahead in a game, it was almost like they are not that bothered

There were like 4-6 players that hugged or shook his hand before the game restarted. Its just that the camera was focused on only Mbeumr running towards him.

It might just be a coincidence, but definitely one to keep an eye on. It is worth noting that with each of his winning goals (Palace, Everton and Fulham), there was a very impressive assist or pre-assist, which led to his teammates congratulating that player first.

Took the goal well. He is still raw and Bruno rightly called him out on the pitch a few times today for not making the correct runs , but you can see the potential is there and he as a lot of the raw materials to make it and hopefully when he gains more experience at this level he can progress into a very good striker for us.

I think its because some went over to Bruno originally instead. I mean you saw the reaction to his goal the other week. Even Zirkzee on the bench and co came over to celebrate with him, they seemed more thrilled for him than himself

Sesko is best fed when he can strike the ball on the first touch, Give him a ball that he needs to take touch or two before the shot and the defender is all over him like a rash, hopefully he can improve that part of his game, but he’s been great in front of goal with those first touch finishes.

Had subs on the field and all, and the lads who went to Bruno came over to him

Love the run of form he's on right now, each goal has been meaningful, its not stat padding goals. With this type of scoring consistency and his physical & finishing abilities, the potential is immense.

The way he took it is so impressive as everyone can see! Really happy for him. He seems very grounded.

He’s a supreme athlete, never mind being already a very good footballer. I think he could excel in all sports with that physical specimen of his

I still don't think he's being used optimally. What he's been doing is incredible
We just need to clone Beckham, and he'd be scoring 50 goals from heading alone. Plus a few regular ones.

He'll be great for us, still only 22. Needs to impose himself more on the game in general but he's taking his chances really well.

I find it's best after a win not to use that time to try and start a "look at how wrong people were" argument. Especially when I have posts like this in the same thread from a couple of weeks ago.

The words “right now” do not mean for the rest of the season. It’s still only been something 45-50 days since Carrick took the helm and we look a completely different side under him, in my judgment performing at a much higher level than under Amorim. We’ve taken 19 points from 21, and part of that success is due to Sesko scoring 2 match winners and 1 equalizer, sometimes coming off the bench and sometimes as a starter. I can’t tell you whether Sesko will always start or always come off the bench for the rest of the season as he is still young and new to the PL, but what I can tell you is that he has significantly improved his end product since Carrick took over from Amorim and that there’s every reason to believe that his improvement will continue, even while it is also reasonable to believe that he will have some off days from time to time, as is the case with most footballers.

There's something mysterious on him. I think he's a real introvert guy.

But the way he focuses on that one winning ball to get in is great!

One big area of improvement is whilst he gets shots off and on target (good), they’re quite consistently straight down the hands of the keeper. He needs to get them into the corners a bit more and he’d be getting more goals.

Glad to see his freakish aerial ability is starting to pay off too.
As I said: big big plus in a striker
In contrast that is/was the absolute main flaw in Hojlund’s game, who was average like 0.8 shots a game (let alone on target).

Being able to shoot consistently as a striker sounds simple enough but it illustrates you have the ability to create space to get them off.

Absolutely delighted for this guy and how he's playing at the moment. Very unfair criticism in the early days when he was obviously adapting and then picked up an untimely injury. I reelly felt even in those games that his hold up play and physical attributes meant that he had to come good eventually.

It's paying off now. Not his best game ever yesterday but he's scored again, and another huge goal for us. He's making an impact, and he's only 22 so lots of room to develop. Excited to see where he can his game to.

I married a slovenian and told her in no uncertain terms that she is now the second in Slovenian’s that I love, Benjamin Sesko or Baby Zlat is definitely number ONE!

Fifteen PL goals incoming now for this season, if only we could find players to cross the ball, Air Sesko will destroy teams.

Told you guys to keep the faith, all this nonsense he’s got an awkward touch is pure baloney as well, as soon as he adjusts to PL speed watch a 24/25 year sesko devour PL defences.

She's a lucky woman.

He is the closest to Zlatan than any other striker in my opinion. Just need to be abit more aggresive, still looks kinda shy.

Great goals but so far this amazed me more. Only 14 years old and he did stuff like this

A perfect CF who matches the size and ambition of Manchester United.

He seems to have mix of different strikers. I think he is carving out his own niche.
