Delighted for him and so glad he's scoring.

Very interesting analysis on MOTD2 by Joe Hart btw. He was getting coached a lot by Bruno during the game, things like where to make runs when a ball is being played in. Bruno got quite frustrated with him a few times, but the run he made for his header, i.e across the defender was exactly what Bruno wanted from him. One imagine's he'll only get better and score more goals once his game intelligence improves.

It’s not the first time this has happened. He was doing the same when Sesko got his brace against Burnley.

The crazy thing is, we're not even playing that well. Its just, under Carrick, we're playing in a way that makes much better use of the central striker than at any point under Amorim.

You could make the argument that we've not played a great 90 minutes since we beat Spurs. However, simply by looking to use Sesko in the box has made all the difference.

We're not really making him 4 or 5 completely clear cut chances a game. He's getting on to stuff but its not like he's being served on a silver platter week in week out. A small change of emphasis has made a big difference. Just imagine we were getting those runs off the ball, as well as the regular service from overlapping players or people in wide areas.

I have run my mouth about Sesko at points this season so I gotta be willing to eat humble pie. Played to his strengths he looks like he could one day be a 30 goal a season player, which before Christmas I could never have even contemplated.

We just need to clone Beckham, and he'd be scoring 50 goals from heading alone. Plus a few regular ones.
I watched a few days ago a compilation of Ruud's career goals in the CL. His Utd goals were full of crosses from the right (Beckham/Solskjaer even Veron) and some fantastic headers among other types of finishes

That type of goal should be what we serve him up every week, crosses from a bit deeper he can run onto/attack. Makes me wonder about how many left footed CMs there might be who can add that to our game from the other side.

A true captain.

I imagjne they were early crosses as well? The amount of goals we used to score from early crosses was beautiful and I always wondered why the premier league ditched them for the flat cross.

The deeper cross has been a lost art form for sure. Cunha can put those in and also could could Mainoo. If we get a left back that can do the same we could have Sesko, Mbuemo and Cunha waiting for them.

I also want Mbuemo to have a resurgence

Neville was a deep cross specialist, those were the days.

We are hitting the target man. What a wonderful header that was. I also love his natural uncontrived goal celebration.

He needs crosses just sent in. All this playing around the box needs to be limited against teams that have packed the bus. Let him go eat.

Unlike Rasmus, who made me cringe every time he did his highly embarrassing throat slit celebration; admittedly that was quite rare as he barely scored.

Shades of Zlatan about him, with less technical ability but more physical power. If he polishes things a little on the ball and learns how to use that edge a bit more, we’ve got a genuine world-beater on our hands. I’d like to see him leave one in on a centre-half more often for a man his size. And for people who say that’s ridiculous, every world-class striker in the league Rooney, Suárez, Zlatan, Drogba, Costa, RVP, etc.all had a very nasty streak in them.

I don’t even necessarily think it’s about technique with Zlatan, he did have silkier feet but his biggest weapon was how incredibly agile he was with such a big frame, him being into martial arts certainly helped in that regard. Sesko can certainly look to emulate that, because imagine how much more dangerous he will be if he can swivel, hip drop, shift his body weight, do acrobatic bicycle kick etc to the level of Zlatan. Him learning to use his body better will also help him dominate his marker physically, because once he fills out his upper body a bit more I can’t see many CB out dueling him if he has the aggression to match.

So glad the club went the way of going for young big talents in Benji and Lammens.
It would have been so short sighted if the club would have gone down the Watkins - Martinez route.

As early as possible  It helped that Ruud was a true predator, always moving into space. He really was fantastic to watch as a true 9.

I'm still waiting for Sesko to display his powerful shooting. We haven't had a real taste of it

I was a bit disappointed with how he started, in how passive he was, considering he'd earned his first start. He wasn't really leading the line, he was playing a bit withdrawn. He grew into the game though and started to get himself in more threatening positions and be a bit more aggressive. More of that Sesko, please.

If we start putting more balls into the box like Bruno did it should open some channels for some more intricate play as teams will have to close off the cross, we need to that more especially with Sesko's size and leap

Yeah, we don't put in nearly enough. Sesko is a weapon we should be using, just like if you have Cavani or Ibrahimovic in that box.

Sadly Bruno seems to be one of our few players that can cross it with any accuracy. Perhaps Cass as well.

In great form. He's a very promising prospect, far more chance of him being a United level than Hojlund for example because of his attributes.

Ever since a poster mentioned it I have noticed that the other players don't celebrate his goals much. Hope he has friends in the squad, he is the only Eastern European. Seems happy here regardless.
I have seen another angle of the celebrations now - not sure if they were just tired but they did all come over to celebrate with him eventually

At least for the Everton goal no-one was anywhere near him when he scored, except for Mbeumo.

had a very nasty streak in them.

But not Šeško. He is quite the opposite - a humble, down to earth, learner type.

A shorter form of Benjamin is Beni or Beno. For Šeško, the first one is usually used and it's pronounced Benny.

I'm very pleased that he proved me wrong and got his mojo back - smiling Šeško is the version that scores goals.

A lot of 'since Carrick' nonsense been posted. Those who know, know that Sesko always starts slow and has crazy good second halves of the season.

Hmmm come to think of it, now that you have mentioned martial arts, with this haircut he looks like The One.

It's indeed quite interesting that he started finding his scoring boots the match right after Amorim got sacked.

Crazy stat: commentator said without his goals, United would be only 9th. Scoring not just goals, but game winning goals

7th.

We'd have 8 points fewer without his goals putting us at 43, which would be equal to Brentford currently at 7th. But the point still stands, that he has made a massive impact by scoring decisive goals at vital times.

Mbeumo can easily do it .. so many Mbeumo --> Wissa inverted crosses that caused chaos. But his role seems to be different in our side. He comes quite narrow and acts like the second striker. He doesn't stay out wide and try to be a cross / cut-in + shoot merchant.

Just thinking back that we would have Martinez and Watkins instead of Lammens and Sesko if Amorim got his way.

Looking like a very lucky escape.
