A thousand times yesSurely the chant is ‘S-E-S-K-O’ to Ottawan’s D.I.S.C.O?
This has been the thing I’ve really loved: all his goals in 2026 have been great striker’s goals; all different but all superb: the quick dash into the box and finish followed by a second with superb body control and placement against Burnley; the control, swivel and shot placement against Fulham; the delightful half-volley against West Ham; the counterattack sprint and clinical finish against Everton; the thumping header against Paalce. Great to seeLoved that header on the weekend. Great strikers goal.
Those four are worth 8, times that by 2 and it's 16 add 1 and 6 together and you've got 7, 16 plus 7 is 23. He's scored 23 goals under Carrick. He's only scored four under Carrick.
Only thing missing is one of them thunder fecks that we saw at LeipzigThis has been the thing I’ve really loved: all his goals in 2026 have been great striker’s goals; all different but all superb: the quick dash into the box and finish followed by a second with superb body control and placement against Burnley; the control, swivel and shot placement against Fulham; the delightful half-volley against West Ham; the counterattack sprint and clinical finish against Everton; the thumping header against Paalce. I didn't even look like we tried tbhLooked super sharp in the first half. Don’t think he touched the ball after half time. Bizarre the way we couldn’t get the ball to him.
Try crossing to him maybe? A few days ago we saw what he can do with a proper cross. Wasn’t tried once I think? Most of the crosses that were put in were deep for the back post for some reason.
I didn't think he played particularly badly. Half decent first half.
But when he starts, our pressing from the front falls to pieces.
His goals have been important, but I think we look a better side when he doesn't starts. Cunha, Amad, Mbuemo do a much better job of getting us up the field, and turning the ball over closer to their box.
This is why I wanted Bruno to leave in the summer. Not because he's a bad player, he's actually our best. But for years now we have become so dependant on this guy for everything that it feels like we suffers as a team unable to move forward. Because we put everything through him, and once he's nullified we look like absolute dogshit everytime without fail.We needed a tall, physical, in-form striker at the top of the pitch.
We had a tall, physical, in-form striker at the top of the pitch. But nobody really tried to find him all game. I'm worried that, other than Bruno, nobody is actually that good at spotting and assisting other players. Bruno has 14 assists. After that, it is Mbuemo...with 3.
In short, if other teams nullify Bruno, they take apart our whole supply chain.

I'm actually looking forward to the day we evolve as a team and are able to go through the whole team, instead of hoping Bruno pulls out a miracle everytime. Poor guy must have the worst back the ways he's had us on it for the longest time.
They probably would have put crosses in if sesko was subbed off. Which bizarrely weve seen happen beforeTry crossing to him maybe? A few days ago we saw what he can do with a proper cross. Wasn’t tried once I think? Most of the crosses that were put in were deep for the back post for some reason.
The entire reason Sesko ended up starting is because we were playing absolute dogshit and didn't look like scoring (West Ham, Everton), and had to keep subbing him on to rescue the game.but I think we look a better side when he doesn't starts.
I don't disagree. I do think that bringing him in off the bench has merit though. The opposition has to adjust a lot more to deal with a tall, fast, no.9 coming on fresh in the last 40 minutes or so than they would for a different type of player or like-for-like replacement. Don't get me wrong, I think he's great - I just think it's a tactic that worked well for us so far.The entire reason Sesko ended up starting is because we were playing absolute dogshit and didn't look like scoring (West Ham, Everton), and had to keep subbing him on to rescue the game.
Now, we're still shit when he starts.
We're just not very good at football, unfortunately.
