I think he's better as a sub, as the results/performances have shown. When he starts, we just feel a bit too static and sluggish and he seems to be a bit stuck in his head, overthinking it when the pressure is on. I like him and think he's a great player to have on the bench but he's no Batistuta. Good character, seems like a good professional and has the potential to become a beast but he's lacking that killer mindset and I think he's gonna plateau out as basically the love child of Berbatov and Crouch

Would help if we played to his strengths for at least half his time on the pitch

Oh, and had some other attacking players in some decent form.

True. With Dalot's poor crossing, and Shaw's inability to consistently overlap these days, I really hope we sign a LB this summer who can whip a good cross in. The type of goal Sesko scored vs Palace should be something we see more regularly next season.

This is the frustration with our recruitment though, the lack of crossing ability in the squad was well known and our lack of quality wide. Hopefully we either set up to fully utilize his strengths or get some better quality in the wide areas, to deliver some crosses.

Hes scored some decent goals and has been a great option off the bench. He has really struggled when starting games and to say hes had all these outstanding performances is nonsense. There were times he was the worst player on the pitch until he scored, he has a long way to go but he will definitely get a lot of opportunities to improve next season

Man Utd 2:1 Brentford New
Double figures. Hoping he can get to 15-20 next year.

He was great in the second half. Shame Mbeumo is absolutely useless at the moment
I thought he was terrible. Only to feel like I should have reserved that description for when Zirkzee came on. I am not convinced he is the no 9. for us.

What did he do that was terrible? He got a chance and took it, look at the state of their number 9 compared to him.

Top scorer with 10 goals. More than Mbeumo and Cunha who were among the top scorers in the league last season

Did his job and his composed finish for the 2nd goal was crucial to getting the points. It didnt kill off Brentford's performance, they kept at it but the early 2nd goal gave us a cushion that we needed as a team that were vulnerable defensively

Linkup play was good, some good lay offs and flicks to teammates as he has shown in certain games earlier this season

I think hes also slightly unlucky that Bruno and the rest of our teammates werent looking for early balls in behind the defence for him. There were plenty of times where we were breaking and he was moving faster than the CBs and the right ball in behind has him 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. Yes our 2nd goal was the product of Bruno delaying and picking a correct pass in the end but there were other times where he might have added to his goal if we released him earlier.

He was very good. Very good goal and held the ball up very well and laid it off to Mbeumo many times who did feck all with it every time.

Played well, just a shame he didn’t get much support in the second half and took the goal really well.

Whscored had him as our 3rd best player, fotmob has him as joint 3rd with Maguire

People complaining about that performance just show they dont know what a good one looks like.

Pulled his groin? Would be a shame to miss him against Liverpool if so.

Lots of nice touches aside from the goal tonight. There’s such a good player in there.

The goal was very well taken, but he regularly lost the ball and still is clueless when pressing.
Crazy take
It just doesn't stick with him, don't see how anyone can watch that game and say otherwise. The stats will probably say the same.

He had plenty of lay offs and flick ons. Sure not all of them came off. No striker has that happen

50% ground duels won
75% of aerial duels won
Was fouled 2 times
5 defensive contributions, they were all recoveries (ball is loose, he picks it up)
52% pass accuracy 11/21
3 passes into the final third
1 chance created
Dispossessed 1 time
successful dribbles 100% 2/2
30 touches
3 in the opponents box

The only part that isnt good in isolation is 52% pass accuracy, but when you take into account that he was trying to set teammates up in dangerous areas with 3 passes into the final third and 1 chance created you'd take that over passing the ball backwards all the the time. Its one of the reasons we were able to break

Really good finish for the goal. Took his time, didn't panic and showed really good feet. I do wish he'd press with a little more intensity but a decent first season's work. Plenty of positives to build on next season.

He was fantastic today and you can see his overall game improving. Won his fair share of duels and showed tons of composure for the goal. We need to get reliable crossers in the team to utilize him properly.

Goal today means he's matched Hojlund's first season tally of 10 league goals.

In about the same number of appearances but quite a lot less minutes, because he's come off the bench a lot.

Thought he was good tonight, no service atall from our pair of donkeys on the wings, and took the one chance he got really well

With good service he scores 15-18 PL/25 overall next season.

For me he wasn't the standard I want from a no 9 with the ball.

Yeah, I mean large part of being a no 9 is being more secure with it. We'll see, I'm not convinced at all by his all round game. If he can score 1 in 2, I won't care.

He's good but we need competition.
competition, yes, but also depth in general. we literally have one striker right now and with us presumably having far more matches next year, that's not a good enough situation to be in.

very happy to have sesko, but we need another striker... ideally someone a bit more seasoned who he could learn from. ... who though? feck knows

But he's better than 1 in 2 and you do care.

He has our best goals to minutes with a goal every 159 mins. 2 games is 180

He was one of our better players and you didnt like his performance

The way we play doesn’t really serve him yet he still took his goal well.

Terrible? Come on now, what are you on about?
I didn't think he was great, a very well taken goal, some good touches but not incredibly involved as Brentford kept our forwards quiet. Decent display from him, but not among our top three performers. But to call his performance terrible reeks of some kind of bias, to be honest.
