I think he was brilliant. Continuous Presence and a threat, makes us more potent in attack with him in it. Great assist today, Neville is a tool.

All the other pundits support their former clubs, new signings, there’s something wrong with ex united players DNA.

The media is a ABU wankfest. Gary is just trying to fit in. He’s being a bit of an idiot really.

Its crazy how Nevilles trying to exaggerate his struggles while saying gyokeres is playing well

Gary Neville probably just looks at the number of goals scored and decides which one is better that way.

Which is strange when we all see how involved Sesko is in pressing and setting up plays, as well as in getting to long ball passes. Then there is also end product recently (2G + 1A in his last 3 games)

He’s slow to get shots off at the moment; he doesn’t sort out his feet and body in relation and anticipation of what might happen if Y follows X, but he’s getting there.

He’s exactly what it says on the tin: a work in progress, but the potential should also be abundantly clear.

He's still one step slower sometimes, but steadily improving with game time. His hold up play is potentially great, but sometimes he doesnt cover the ball enough so players nick the ball from him which is a bit frustrating because he can do so much better. He had some good actions though and we won and got an assist so I would give him 7/10. Fully expecting him to improve though.

Sesko was great yesterday, he absolutely bullied van Hecke which unsettled the Brighton backline and helped us sustain pressure.

His assist was brilliant also, never in a million years would Hojlund have performed that passage of play.

The goals will come as well, it's not as if he's in a barren spell.

That tackle on him not given was the turning point. He was poor at the start but got up from that tackle, won the ball that led to our first goal. He is a work in progress and might be a season or two before he starts showing consistency in his play.

Been very good against most centrebacks he’s faced aerially. Gives us so much by actually having a forward who has aerial presence and strength to fight for long passes; don’t know if there’s a stat for this but feels like we’ve been winning those second balls quite a lot as of late. Helps us progress up the field and especially helps Cunha, Mbeumo and Bruno.

Huge upgrade to Hojlund in this regard and much more technically sound as well.

Brilliant assist, really good performance. Strong target man. He’ll score 10-15 goals this season which will be good for a season without the League Cup, or Europe.

Won the ball back for the 1-0 too. Overall play is improving now lets hope the team finds him more in good positions

Yeah, on the latest overlap. Said he really likes Gyokeres and he's playing well. He's been completely invisible against any half decent side he's played
He's one of those people who runs with a narrative and then pushes it to validate his initial prediction. In the summer he wanted an experienced striker which was completely understandable, so he thought Gyokeres was a much safer signing than Sesko, again understandable, but now he's at the stage of trying to convince everyone he was right which means talking up Gyokeres despite having scored in 2 PL games out of 9 having started all of them, and simultaneously shitting on Sesko.

Very happy with him so far. Has bags of potential, while beeing very useful with his all-round play already.

Thought he was really good. He is physical, he has a good touch, he creates space for himself with those turns and he looks to set up others. One of those 9s whose assists and hockey assists will be as important as his goals.

His size, speed and aerial ability preiccupies centre backs and this creates a lot of space for the 10s. Which if I understand right, is one of the main asks of him in this system.

He has scored. He has assisted. He got neither but played a huge part in that Chelsea win with that flick for Mbuemo. He is 10 games in. In a new country and league. He is doing fine. He's just an easy target for the rage bait idiots that make money from slating United.
I agree. Even if he doesn’t score, he is key to our resurgence. He can keep the ball and pass it at the benefit of the team. I like him a lot and he is Young, he will progress. A proper player.

I thought his footwork and technique was brilliant. The Zlatan comparison was apt, although he still have ways to go to reach Zlatan level, but it was his quick feet that led to the first goal and his touch and turn that set up the third goal

Zlatan is his idol too oddly enough.

His turn and assist is everything we’ve lacked in a CF for some time. Should have buried his big chance but he’s getting into good positions and becoming a good focus point of the attack. Complements Cunha and Mbeumo very well.

Certainly more to come from him, but early signs are very positive and despite what Neville says, he had a good game on Saturday.

Instrumental in two out of four goals. We can't really have too many complaints with a performance like that. Getting to grips with the league well, I think. Hopefully he keeps popping up with goals and assists regularly now.

Remember when Rooney was running as headless chicken in 2015 and called it then silent domination?

I m not 100% sure that Sesko will be a success. But has improved since the first games.

Annoyed me when Neville called him an 80m striker on Comms. You can understand rival fans getting this stuff wrong, but there's no excuse for not knowing he cost 64m when A, it's your job, and B you're a united fan!

It's interchanging been his Eur and GBP price, and with or without add-ons, whenever the argument fits, it's also like people saying Wirtz is a 150m player.

Yeah but it's still wrong, like when people said Martial cost 56m. Somehow I don't think he met those add ons!

Even a world class striker needs time to adapt to PL let alone a young striker. So he has done extremely well and he has very high potential to improve further

The media seems focused on his goal output, but anyone that watched us last season vs this one know how massive of an upgrade he's been over Hojlund. The biggest areas being:

- His linkup play is light years better than Hojlund and we finally have capable wingers/wing forwards.
- Hes an actual outlet. Hojlund would try to battle CBs (and lose everytime). Meanwhile, Sesko holds the ball up better and actual wins aerial battles and flicks the ball on.
- Hes running the channels and providing the threat in behind. I dont know why Hojlund stopped doing that, but it opens up so much space for everyone else.

His finishing needs to improve, but hes bringing enough outside of that to the team that its not as big of an issue right now.

I don't think this is some world class talent who will ever be terrorising Europe and posting 30+ goals a season, but equally, his fundamentals are solid and I think that he will be a reliable performer in the Prem. I felt when we bought him that 10 to 15 goals a season while also making the team play better was always the aim for this guy, I still think that's about right.

I don't think he will ever be a number monster like, say, Haaland, but I certainly think he's more than capable of 20-30 goals a season under Amorim if we continue play like this, sprinkled with a load of assists of course. I'm already happy with what he is doing currently so i'm not too worried about him reaching these numbers this season, but I fully expect him to be even better later in the season going in to next.

In Harry Kane's 10 seasons where he played more than 10 matches a season at Spurs, he had 5 seasons under 30 goals, and 4 seasons where he just scraped past 30 goals. He had 1 freak season with over 40 goals. I don't see any reason why he can't at least bag that 20-30 range and be considered class like Kane was (though of course he's reached nowhere near Kane's level yet)

I'm just happy his technical level and brain seem to be at a high level. The speed of the game doesn't seem to overwhelm him at all and he can handle tight spaces extremely well for his size. Means he can still contribute positively to games even if he's pure goalscoring isn't there yet. I much prefer a player like that over someone who's a complete 0 in open play but can bag a few goals if he gets chances provided to him.

I am confident in saying that he will not score as many goals as Harry Kane. That doesn't mean he won't do well.

I liked how Nev just casually threw in an 80M price tag for Sesko as well...the lad signed for around £66M~ish which raises to £73~ish with all the add-ons.

But 80M sounds a lot more dramatic, so let's go with that! after he scored in back-to-back games in the previous week and just had an assist in the very match he was commentating.

Bonkers narrative

Lots of good signs here imo. Hopefully the goals will come.

I'm all for new signing positivity but in that two minute clip he gave the ball away 14 times, deliberately elbowed someone in the face and blazed a golden chance massively wide.

As a bit to go but as a pivot he works ok, but has the talent to bring more. Don’t appear to get frustrated though, think he has the confidence to make it here

His all-round play could definitely improve but his aerial dominance is giving us an edge in attack right now that we've not had for a while.

Gave the ball away 14 times

These takeaways are so poor I'm sorry. How is he supposed to keep the ball when in a lot of these situations his best chance is to knock it on to the space?

Putting everything into consideration, his age, transitioning to one of the biggest teams in the world in the worlds most demanding league, thrown straight in at the deep end in a brand new formation, he's performing very well. He's had 2 goals and an assist in 5 starts but his all round link up play, hold up play and aerially presence has been evident to see to anyone who has actually watched our full games.

It's quite obvious he's room for improvement and I'm confident it'll come. Most importantly he looks like he's enjoying his football and being part of the team. When you've players for Mbeumo and Cunha behind you, you're probably not ever going to hit crazy numbers in terms of goals but the work you do off the ball to help those flourish is massive. His footwork is actually so much better than I anticipated, he's very deceptive.
