I like what he can potentially offer but he’s a nonentity most of the time

Players come here to die because of the attitudes of fans like yours. He's played around 10 total games for us, learn to have some fecking patience jesus christ.

What did I say that inaccurate? He's has one properly good game. The rest he's been average or poor but you take that one good game as though he plays like that generally. I take the rest of the games and don't delude myself into thinking he's a good player.

I think he can develop into a good player but he's miles off it as this stage in his development.

Poor today. He's young and needs time I think give him until Christmas and reserve judgement.

He's ranged from average to shit for the vast majority of the 11 games he's played for us - scoring two goals. Why is it so sacrilegious to criticise him when we're happy to criticise Gyokeres or Isak in the same breath?

You can put prime Shearer in this team and he'll not score many goals. It's not like he finds himself in many goalscoring opportunites and misses them is it?

Still, I expect better from Sesko than he's been showing. A bit more urgency from him would be better.

His first touch is erratic, not far off Hojlund in all honesty, which is concerning.

However he brings a presence and a threat that Rasmus never did, even in a game like today when he was shit he still has 3 shots.

Andy Cole was on the overlap a bit ago talking about when he joined us. He'd just scored 41 for Newcastle and Brian Kidd said to him that wouldn't be enough here. You have to be a good footballer.

I still think a United CF should actually be good outside of scoring, and his general play has not impressed at all so far.

His worst display for us today. No idea why he was kept on the pitch tbh.

How some professional footballers fail to do the basics right is crazy for me. Like, he's better with his back to goal than Holjund was, but Sesko is still very raw and seems to be very hit and miss when the ball is played into him. Not only that, but despite his size, he doesn't seem like much of a presence. I get that the EPL is physical, but I want to see him trying to centre backs.

Listen, he's still new to the EPL, and one can only hope he settles and improves, but fecking hell, some of his touches and general play was concerning.

He needs to increase his physicality a bit. We all knew he wasn’t the finished article when we bought him. Worrying signs but it’s still early days. So hopefully he kicks on but he’s a bit of a quiet lad - might sound odd, but I’d have loved a bit more “pashun” from our new CF

Been saying it for weaks, he has some physical attributes, is young and works quite hard.

But there is nothing of elite in him, you can see that after two matches. Some of you will be shouting this down for years and years.

In the current striker market he's a decent buy, but he will have to be upgraded in the end if we want to win trophies.

I actually pretty much like him so far but this today was poor as it goes. Everything what he did was bad.
And yeah, from United starting striker i fully expect that he controls that ball from Mbeumo and hit a target in that late chance

Obviously not a great game at all and seemed to get worse as the match went on. While we were winning, plenty in the match day thread were praising his hold up play etc.

But yeah, he’s still raw in areas of his game as warned when he joined, games like this will happen.

This is exactly the player people who watched him said we were getting. Inconsistent first touch, ball gets stuck under his feet, drifts in and out of games, not a natural goalscorer. This was all explained before we signed him but fans who watched a few YouTube clips shot anyone who said this down and seemed to think he was some sort of Zlatan/Fernando torres hybrid.
On the flip side however, hes better than hojlund and zirkzee, he's still only 22 and does have potential to be a very good player, the concern is again we're relying on him fulfilling that promise sooner rather than later

Might be best as a sub for the forseeable.

Cunha, Mount and Mbeumo will manage as a front three, maybe give Zirkzee a look and see how he gels with them too.

Bit of a false equivalence. So many times Sesko today was a second or half a second behind the ball because he just doesn’t anticipate the next move. He doesn’t find himself in many chances because he doesn’t seem to expect or have the nous to be in them.

I assume because we are supporters of Sesko and United and not Liverpool/Arsenal.

Sesko was completely missing today. Misplaced a few passes as well during key attacks. A spell on the bench needed to refocus.

This is my perception of him as well. All that link to Arsenal built up this image that he was an actual good football player, like a younger Zlatan. The only thing he has over other big, bulkier strikers is his pace, which he is unable to use half the time with us as we mainly pass to feet, but I thought we were getting this technically excellent player who got his touch right more often than not and would bring others into play effectively even if he doesn’t score much himself.

He’s fallen short of that and he won’t ever be that type, but he can definitely be useful.

You know what you're right, he's absolute garbage and we should already write him off and sell him. Was he good today? No. Has he been good in multiple games this season for us? Yes.

This is why I rarely post on this forum anymore, it's full of reactionary "fans" who bounce from "world class" to "not even championship level" from one game to the next, it's absolutely stupid and people need to give their heads a wobble.

It's not about criticising, there's no "he was okay" or "he was bad, here's what he needs to improve on, hopefully he does better in the next one" it's "THIS GUY IS COMPLETE DOGSHIT I CANT BELIEVE WE SIGNED HIM, HE'S THE WORST STRIKER TO EVER PLAY FOR UNITED EVEN THOUGH HE'S BEEN HERE FOR TEN GAMES, OMG SEND HIM TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP" one minute and "OMG LOOK AT THAT ASSIST HE DID FOR MBEUMO HE IS CLASS" the next.

Joke of a fanbase at times.

Wasn't great today although none of the front three were really on it to be fair. Not the worst timing as Spurs away probably suits Mount.

I usually dislike short term signings but I would take Welbeck in January right now.

Agreed - we keep making the same mistakes. For me, when a forward’s general play is strong, the team naturally creates and scores more goals. But if the forward’s link-up and movement aren’t good enough, attacks tend to break down, making it impossible to sustain pressure or pin teams back.

Welbeck was never the most prolific striker, but we scored our highest number of Premier League goals with him leading the line because his all-round play was exceptional.

And even if strikers don’t offer much in overall play, you’d at least expect them to be lethal in front of goal - like Haaland. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

He's not Championship level, he's just not much better than what we already had in Hojlund who we criticised for years. If you think he's been good in multiple games, then the bar for Manchester United striker is on the floor. Don't forget, we also paid £65m on him when we probably needed that money elsewhere.

I was wondering why Mount wasn't brought on for him with around 20 minutes to go - maybe Amorim wanted to keep Cunha's ball-carrying ability through the midfield to break the lines instead of putting him up top? One of Šeško's poorest games but he's still young and developing, and his overall level has been higher that what we've had last season.

Yet, literally you on the Florian Wirtz thread 2 weeks ago:

I don’t think he scares defenders. Just need to be a bit physical against him and he’ll get controlled. He is better than Hojlund (at uniter at least) but so far nothing fancy. Again, he has no aggression and at some moments during the game i felt he was lost.

If we’re being honest, that was diabolical. If Chido had put in a performance like that, we’d be saying he was light years away from being ready for the first team.

See what I mean, as if Sesko's general play didn't help us whatsoever in the last three games we won and everyone was smiling happy. All of a sudden he's complete dogshit who hinders the team and stops us from creating chances and breaks all our attacks up  . This place just cannot be taken seriously at all
