Best and worst looking trophies

As the thread title says. What are the best

I think the Premier league is definitely the best looking out of the big league's in Europe. The rest of Europe look pretty terrible really.

French and German look like dinner plates. The Italian looks like a giant funnel, and la liga just eww.

As a Canadian, I'm partial to Lord Stanley's Cup. That's a proper trophy, bigger than some people and growing.

For footy yeah the PL trophy looks great and the World Cup is a beautiful design.

CONCACAF"s Gold Cup is alright and the Copa America trophy has a nice vintage appeal that fans of Lord Stanley's will appreciate.

The German Cup looks like something that must have been looted out of Charlemagne's tomb.

The Europa League trophy is good but the two that stand our for are The Calcutta Cup in rugby. High quality Indian workmanship with long serpentine buta designs engraved, king cobras for handles, an elephant on top. At the other end of the spectrum - the Ashes urn.

I think the crown on top spoils the PL trophy. Ligue 1 is too minimalistic for my taste.Other than that a cup is a cup. I guess the CL trophy is great in a simple way, I also like the World Cup as you're holding the world in your hands. But it's hard to say why one would look better than the other.

Maybe it's because Germany doesn't have a monarchy, but I associate a simplified crown more with a Döner shop these days. Not that there is anything bad about Döner, they are delicious.

The crown is my favourite part! I always remember that iconic shot of Steve Bruce placing the crown on Bryan Robson’s head after the 92/93 PL win.

The thing which I think ruins the PL trophy is having the sponsor’s name plastered all over it in huge letters. I just think it cheapens it.

Pineapples were seen as a great luxury in the 1700s and it was a great honor to be presented with one. It became a symbol and was used as ornaments in stately homes, usually at gates and stuff like that.
