Slack jawed yokels can have good taste in football
MUTV have been bringing up quite a lot this week that Henrikh Mkhitaryan first 3 goals for us have been rather special. "Can you remember any other player scoring their first three goals for United where all of them have been stunners?" and similar lines of questioning.

Off the top of my head, I can remember Rooney's and Memphis' able to rival. Any others?

RVP's first three weren't too bad either IIRC. First one against Fulham was a super finish, then he followed up by a hattrick at Southampton.

Considering the context, Rashford's has to be up there.

Pure quality though, Ruud's?

Nani. Two great long rangers and one nice finish against Arsenal IIRC
Cant find the third one though....

I can't find them to judge, but I'm going to guess Gibson's first three might be contenders, seeing as he only ever scored thunderbolts from outside the area. I'm not entirely sure he knew that shooting inside the area was allowed.

Rooney was a great shout. With all 3 in one game.

Top hat-trick and what a way to announce your arrival, unreal really.

Ashley Young's first 4 or 5 goals were all superb (in league)

Didn't he score twice against Fulham on his debut?

He also scored in the charity shield

Edit: that hatrick agaisnt Southampton was later in the season

Did Young's goal against West Brom end up being given as an Own Goal? If it did then Young and Nani equally

Was just talking about this the other day. One of my favourite memories from OT this night. He was so energetic and sharp, it's no wonder he was so difficult to deal with. So was our whole team back then to be fair.

Down south...somewhere
we need more videos folks as I can only remember a few of the goals but you really can't argue with mkhitaryan...although for sheer debut impact Rooney's hattrick has got to be up there

Obviously Nani, the greatest player to ever wear a United shirt scored an amazing first few goals for us. Mkhitaryan is a close second though.

Nani was such a player in that first season. Dribbling and shooting skills to match Ronaldo's, such a shame he never truly reached his potential.

He only scored 4 for us, 3 in the league which came in his first 5 appearances

The 3rd was a nice finish against Everton at home.
