Luís Boa Morte sounds amazing, even in Portuguese. I rarely think Portuguese names are stylish, but that beats everything I heard. Also the meaning, "Louis Good Death". Don't know anyone else with that family name.

Ciro Immobile - was linked to us recently, suprise not mentioned yet.

For Spanish speakers, I remember watching a La Liga match a few seasons back between Osasuna featuring Francisco Pun~al and Valencia with a young Juan Mata at the time.

Francisco Pun~al = Frank Stab
Juan Mata = John Kill

I found the Italian 90s players name to be fascinating and seems abit more classy, could have been romantism bias, but the names like :

Gabriel Batigol Batistuta
Marco Van Basten
Ravanelli
Boban
Donadoni
Maldini
Vieri
Pagliuca

brought a certain kind of respect and admiration I can't explain whenever I hear them

just discovered John Arne Riise is Norway's most capped player - how did that happen?
