Who are the best players to wear their specific shirt number? Who would yours be? No player can be on the list twice, for e.g Scholes can't be 18. and 22.

3. Cole
4. Vieira
5. Ferdinand
6.
7. Ronaldo
8. Gerrard
9. Shearer
10. Rooney
11. Giggs
12.
13. J.S Park
14. Henry
15. Vidic

18. Scholes

20. Van Persie
21.
22.
23.

I’m really struggling for a number 6. All those successful years under Ferguson but no decent no. 6?

Also, Tony Adams — and he would probably deserve it more, if we're being fair.

Quite a few weird/unexpected choices if we play around with the numbers...

2. Eric Cantona
12. Thierry Henry
24. David Beckham
27. Patrice Evra
28. Steven Gerrard
29. Rio Ferdinand
31. Ashley Cole
33. Petr Čech
37. Harry Kane
38. James Milner
57. Cesc Fàbregas

Stam or one year of Ferdinand.

Away from United there's Tony Adams, Marcel Desailly Ricardo Carvalho and Arteta at Everton.

57 - Fabregas.

Cantona no.2?
Yeah, I was trying to find suitable spots for as many of the best players as possible. If Cantona takes one of 2, 3 or 12, you can put Cristiano at 7 and Shearer/Agüero at 9.

P.S. I've since realized that he wore those numbers in the First Division days. D-oh!
