Seriously? 45 games?I'd understand if, say, they retired Nikola Zigic's number, whatever that was - he scored the equaliser in the 2011 League Cup final and played over a 100 games for Birmingham City. But this is just embarassing.

Honestly, the mawkishness in football these days is overwhelming. Minute's silences before most games for any number of unconvincing reasons, retiring the shirts of players who've achieved absolutely nothing. It's embarrassing.
