Association Football Club Bournemouth (nicknamed The Cherries and Boscombe) is a professional football club based in Bournemouth, Dorset. The exact date of the club's foundation is not known, but there is proof that it was formed as Bascombe FC in the autumn of 1899 out of the remains of the older Boscombe St. John's Lads’ Institute FC. Nicknamed The Cherries (Dean Court was built adjacent to the Cooper-Dean estate, which encompassed numerous cherry orchards), the team traditionally played in red shirts with white sleeves until 1971, when the strip was changed to red and black stripes, similar to that of AC Milan. The club was renamed in 1923 to Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic F.C. in 1923, which was the name until 1972, when it becomes A.F.C. Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have won the second and third tiers of English football, and were twice runners-up of the fourth tier. They have also won the Football League Trophy, and the Football League Third Division South Cup. Bournemouth have spent the majority of their history bouncing between the third and fourth tier of English football. Under manager Eddie Howe, they have risen through the pyramid; the 2015–16 season was Bournemouth's first ever in England's top division. Bournemouth's biggest rivals are Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading FC and Southampton FC. They play their home games at Dean Court, Bournemouth — currently known as the Vitality Stadium.

Torn between wanting Fred or Mata in midfield. Definitely don't want Lukaku in the side

Same team but Lingard in for Mata to provide pace and work-rate. Maybe Sanchez for Rashford, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Bournemouth are flying right now, this'll be a tough match.

We need pace in this team as they're very athletic.

This is what I'm Hoping to see at least. Reckon Rashford and Matic will play instead of Ander and Alexis.
Bournemouth are a good team but I see us winning this 0-2.

Really looking forward to this match. Bournemouth is doing really well at the moment, and whatever we do I hope we keep the pace up and try to dominate like we did against Everton, because they will sit back if we make them. If we sit back ourselves it might be a boring 0-0 as we don't counter attack any good, so then wont score.

I used to love this kind of game on a Saturday dinner time. Seemed to always win by 3 or 4 to set up a nice relaxing weekend hoping other sides drop points. Hate them now.

Wouldn’t be too disappointed if Jose went with the same team. The only change I’d make is probably Herrera in for Matic. As long as as Lukaku isn’t in the starting XI, that will be fine with me.

A must win match for us. We need to close the gap and we need to build up some momentum for the difficult run ahead. Would like to see the below team given a chance for the next few matches.

    DDG
    Young Small Lindelof Shaw
    Fred Herrera Pogba
    Mata Rashford Martial

the lump will be back up front.
If he is, then we could be in trouble, as he won't score goals no matter how many chances he gets and our style of play when he is on the pitch deteriorates.
Hopefully, Jose's desire to win the match will be greater than his desire to field his favourite attacker.
Personally, I'd choose either Rashford or Sanchez up front, with Lukaku to come on later on in the game.

We need pace in this team as they're very athletic.
Playing Mata and Matic might be a problem.

Rashford works hard, always moves around and makes it easier for Martial and Pogba to find space. Should start.
Lingard should be given the RW instead of Mata, despite Juan playing well recently.
Herrera should replace Matic as he is not playing well at the minute.
Pereira could be starting instead of Fred since we must not lose the ball against this team. Deadly on the counter.
Young can continue on the RB, as this is not the game for Dalot to be introduced to the EPL.

    Young - Smalling - VNL - Shaw
    Fred/Pereira - Herrera - Pogba
    Lingard - Rashford - Martial

Is Fellaini back for this? If he is then he will play. Bournemouth are a physical side so Jose probably wants Matic, Pogba and Fellaini (or Mctominay) in midfield.
It's not going to be pretty.
1-0 win for us. Martial 74th minute

I would give Sanchez a start upfront since he's a lot better there now than he is a winger. Rashford doesnt really deserve to be dropped but I think Sanchez could give us that extra bit of quality. Keep Lukaku as far away as possible since he looks absolutely gone at the minute.

Herrera for Matic as Herrera looked really good against Everton when he came on and he's played the DM role quite a few times. Would make our midfield much more dynamic than with Matic.

It will be very difficult. Playing a top 6 team away and that too who play attacking football. Could be very difficult for us with the mickey mouse defending we do as a team.

Matic would be benched for me, Fred and Herrera as a double-pivot taking it in turns to venture further forward, bags of energy and movement. Matic is gonna struggle again, with this lot.

He won't be though. I expect the same starting 11.

Sanchez to replace Rashford on the hour mark.
Lukaku to replace Mata around the same time.
Herrera on for Fred in the final 10mins.

    Bournemouth 1 - 2 Man United
    Young, Martial.

They're undefeated at home this season. I'm predicting a score draw with them rescuing it late.

So were Watford. We need to be beating these, all the others would (well maybe not Arsenal)

Not arguing with you there. Just don't see us as turned the corner everyone is thinking we've turned.

I'll add we have a better chance of winning if Lukaku does not start.

    I'd like to see this
    DDG
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Fred Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Martial Sanchez

I think we'll see the same as against Everton.

    Edit: forgot DDG

Is Valencia injured or permanently in the Jose's sin bin? I would like to see this:

    DDG
    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Herrera
    Pogba - Fred
    Mata - Sanchez - Martial
    Expecting to see this:

    DDG
    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Pogba - Matic - Fred
    Rashford - Lukaku - Martial
I'm not part of the Lukaku-is-shit-and-ruins-everything movement on here..My main issue is not with him, but with the rest of the team seemingly continuing to confuse him for an actual target man and hitting him with long balls.

Anyway, regardless who we play, I think we are likely to end up drawing this one. 2-2

Herrera in for Matic would be good to see but we know that wont happen, so we should be starting with the same 11 that started the game against Everton, no reason to bring Lukaku, Sanchez or Lingard back into the forward line.
