What's worse is that the copywriter who wrote that had to be told what to say, so Lingard himself was under the impression that he was prolific enough to be able to say that.

These guys live in a bubble.
Yeah, thats my impression as well.

If he was a top, top player that every 10 year old looked up to i could understand it, but even at the best of times he been little more than a squad player

"Iconic celebration" Is it though? Really?

Serious question: Do you think his wages are in proportion to what he's contributed to the club since that new contract?

I have no issue for example, with Rashford's salary.
You get a contract based on past performances. He earned it, he doesn't anymore.

It was just a very dramatic post and got treated as such.

This is one of the things that has turned the fans on Lingard i feel. If he was not so brash and arrogant that he thinks he is a top player, he would not receive as much criticism. he does not help himself by how he behaves off the pitch.

I read an article that he dumped his long term girlfriend once he got his first big contract. It went to his head i feel. He loves all the women wanting him. And he loves that attention more than actually being a footballer.

He should never have been allowed to be in the position he is. ferguson would have just let him go quietly in the off season and even if he did keep him, he would not have put up with his shit performances and shitty attitude off the pitch.

Edit: i must also add that the impression i get off lingard is that he is not mature. he is what 26 years old, but only has the maturity of a 17 year old. Which does not help his cause.

I think we have to be proud of the fact he's clearly managed to get rid of whatever stock of JLINGZ "smell like LINGZ" aftershave he initially invested in, given it's no longer appearing on his website. Probably dumped it all in a canal.

Next up the phone cases - £18 permanently reduced to £2.99  I bet he bought thousands of them. Also if you're going to put a cheesy cliche on your phone case, why would you put it in inverted commas - "Be yourself"?

An even worse entrepreneur than he is footballer.

Had to check that (side note, he probably thinks he's doing well with all these clicks he's getting!) And you're right, surely someone told his that using inverted commas generally means you dont believe in it or it isnt true? Unless he thinks he's quoting himself meaning he thinks no one else has used that expression before.

He's either quite stupid or extremely egotistical - not sure which us worse.

Interesting timing to launch a business? Would love to have their kind of money, to say I'm jealous would be an understatement!

So just do it? I started in 2012 with £3k in capital and a couple shelves with dietary supplements. If you're willing to put the work in theres absolutely nothing to stop you from not having to be jealous.

I meant being a millionaire footballer? But yes I'm going to start a business soon probably after this Covid virus disappears as it isn't ecommerce.

But congratulations on your business, did you read the four hour work week? Think the supplement business was what the author started.

Is it a coincidence that he's wearing that crap the day after he spent time with Pogba?
