We don't have to. But that's what discussions are for and all parties have come to an agreement if this report is to be believed. I'm quite confident we'll get 3rd spot anyways. But we don't have to? We're paying his salary and still have third to play for
I wonder if we’ll see the reverse of this where clubs ask international sides to rest/not select players for certain friendlies
Costs us £6M quid. Unless they are guarenteeing to pay that why would we do this? What does United get from domig this? I would settle for right of first refusal on every Brazilian player moving to Europe.
Cunha gets a rest which might in long term benefit us. Might be a little fresher for start of next season if hes a few weeks break now before world cup. I wouldn't be against doing this and giving lacey some mins. What does United get from domig this? I would settle for right of first refusal on every Brazilian player moving to Europe.
Deserves its own thread really. Quite amazing I have to say. You could say it may affect the integrity of the competition, but it is also very sensible and proactive with regards to player welfare. Never heard of anything similar.
We're basically set in 3rd. Cunha being rested won't make us lose 3 straight games. What a load of bollocks. These players are paid millions for the fans to watch them play for Man Utd, not to get rested for the benefit of various international teams. Besides we are still fighting to secure 3rd spot which may bring us more financial benefit
How does it cost us 6m?Costs us £6M quid. Unless they are guarenteeing to pay that why would we do this?
Interesting. Apparently the FFF asked Liverpool to use Konaté as much as possible.

Thought it was a shin injury? We're basically set in 3rd. Cunha being rested won't make us lose 3 straight games.
United forcing Cunha to play through a niggle instead of giving him the chance to properly recover would have a higher chance of him making it worse during the World Cup, leading to starting next season with a bigger injury. A 3-4 week recovery for a little hip flexor niggle can quickly become a 3-6 month injury problem if you don't take care of it/aggravate it.
Sesko has that, Cunha had a hip flexor issueThought it was a shin injury?

Oh yeah, got wrong way round.Sesko has that, Cunha had a hip flexor issue
Maybe but there is £3m-£4m a place … I’d imagine we’d want something in return (maybe what you propose, maybe a Brazil Intl next year at OT).Dont get the big deal here. We have qualified for the CL, there is nothing to play for us. We will get something in exchange, eg Cunha dont has to travel for one or two friendlies next season. Could be worth a big win next season. I am all for it as i would use the time for kids like Shea Lacy
Sully Talkz pouring cold water is pretty tellingIf both medical teams have checked him over and they had an agreement once we qualified for champions league.
I'd say it's true to be honest.
This statement reserved for certain CB call DeLight. Yes, De Ligt should be rested for the remaining games, hence would not be picked by international team. And, Yoro should start the next 3 games, we really need to see and decide whether he is a dud or simply an overpriced unfinished product.Play for United, skip the World Cup. International Football is rubbish anyway and who wants to spend their summer providing PR for the Orange Goblin.
If any player has any knock/not fully fit and the player is going to the WC, we should be resting them. Would love to see some kids anyway.
