No, he is just a completely different player.

As a playmaker, Bruno is better. As a goal scorer Bruno is better. As a talisman Bruno is better.

At ball retention, Silva is better. At dribbling, Silva is better. Within a possession system, Silva is better.
Ball retention and dribbling are part of playmaking.

He's different and at a different level.
Bernardo Silva was on the outer at City only 24 months ago, he plays for the most stacked team and that has to be counted as part of the measure. Bruno is better at creating an assist and is miles ahead in terms of goal scoring. What exactly makes Silva so much better than Bruno?

It's a case of players not making the most of Bruno finding them in good space. Rashford has been guilty of this for a very long time not just this season.

Bruno for a really long time was the number 1 player in the league for clear chances created but we have nothing to show for it. Our attacking players keep messing up good opportunities with a bad touch or taking too long to decide on what to do with the ball in good positions.

And Bruno. We’ll played today. Didn’t like armband being taken off him when Martinez went off, though.

Finally starting to see the Bruno we all fell in love with in his first 18 months today. Exceptional today, lead the team superbly.

I'm a critic in regards to him being consistently good enough throughout 90 minutes of football to truly make it in an elite team, but he sure does come up with magic moment like that assist out of the wilderness.

If Ten Hag manages to organize the team in such a way this guy can play to his strengths again he is an absolute joy to watch.. There is so much threat in him..

His link up with Eriksen is just

Once Casemiro is behind them the shackles will really be off

Anyone still think Ten Hag is gonna hate him and drop him at the first opportunity? :p

Ridiculous assist for the second. Played it through for Eriksen for the third too. His vision during transitions is incredible.

His passing is getting better, again. Great pass to Rashford. Hopefully, he can fully regain his best form.

that pass for the second goal was pure sex. Outside of the foot, perfect timing and weight, right into Rashfords stride. Pure class.

Sensational assist for the second and what a genius pass to Eriksen for the third as well. Without him we'd have drawn at best.
