Back to being self and people thought it was because of CR7 that his form dropped.

Read a post on here after a couple of preseason games - "He is a completely different player now".

Sure he is

As much as he has been in shit form, people have to drop the idea of playing him or anyone as a false 9. It was shown every time we played like that last season already.

He is not a false nine and we don't have anyone in the squad for it. He has to make final passes and that's his role.

Should have been sold two years ago when we could have fooled many clubs into believing that he's one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Who can we fool now?

I seriously despise his style of play. Always tries to go for the spectacular or difficult pass. Over-complicates things when the easier option was better..

Villa away is the only decent performance he has put in this calendar year.

How on Earth a professional footballer can’t hit the target with that chance in the first 10 minutes

He is really bad. I can't see how he is ever going to come back from this.

His shooting is gone. His passing was always dodgy but at least he used to create stuff - not anymore.

Not too far off from McFred who are blasted everywhere. Cant hold onto the ball under any sort of pressure, wasted passes.

We need more competition in the squad so that he isn't a guaranteed starter every week. He just needs to keep his game simple and keep it effective. Not a great start from him today.

He needs to be benched for now. He keeps getting away with these awful performances and yet he starts every game because he saved Oles job a while back.

His physicality appears to be someone who has just got promoted to the first team squad, it’s embarrassing how he couldn’t keep hold of possession when someone makes a slightest of contact

Mr Hollywood. No surprise his game has gone to shit soon as the fans come back.

Plays like a child with no instructions. He should have been the false 9.

Another poster boy just like Rashford. A player not good enough to start for us but will. Partly also beacuase our shit house board won't sign someone actually good at football

He doesn't do the basics right and this dulls the rest of the attack because he gives the ball away

I've always believed that a team can only get away with playing maximum one player on the team who is careless with the ball to be able to win Titles and Trophies but we have Bruno, McTominay, Rashford and Fred, We stand no chance with all these players in the first team, at best some of them should be coming off the bench but I hope Ten Hag will be brave enough to start dropping some of these players. Not all but some

Dear god his passing was woeful, his goals and assist used to cover up some of the poor performances. But watching Eriksen on the ball makes Bruno look even worse.

Why does it keep referred to as form? His good period at the start of his career here is looking more and more like the outlier, which would mean the player he has been for a while is simply him, would it not?

Legit think I hate him. Such a shit player and always has blinkered people defending him because he scored a few pens in his first 6 months here.

Everyone in this team has been playing as shit as him in the last 18 months or so. I would like to believe that it affects his form and some others.

Why does he always try to shield the ball instead of relying on pass and move? The lad has the body strength of an infant.

It’s all downhill from here, clear as day.

The sooner we cut ties the better but he’ll no doubt still be stinking up the place in 2 or 3 years

It's easier for him to throw himself at the ground rather than battle it out

Bruno was pretty meh today and, unfortunately, we can't afford him to be. When Bruno isn't firing on all cylinders we're a lesser team. Needs to find himself fast. Its going to be a long season otherwise.

I don’t see him ending the season as a starter. Still think he’s a good player but the fact he can’t hold onto possession to save his life, either through passing the ball or running with it, is going to hurt us a lot this season.

So you believe we’re seeing 18 months of uncharacteristic performance levels?

£240k a week for this. We were better off keeping Pereira, he has the same flaws at a third of the wages.

I've said for a couple of years now that in years gone by he's the type of maverick No.10 that would be playing at Galatasaray or Shakhtar and nothing has changed my opinion on that.

He is a horrendously poor player to have as part of a possession team. If a team isn't built around him, he is useless. The number of basic passes he fluffs is unbelievable.

His passing isn't his biggest problem, being weak and his complete lack of athleticism is.

Most of what he does is to compensate for that.

Our play went flat and went to shit when he was subbed out. There's just nothing in attack.
