He's our best player in a shite team but I don't give a feck if he leaves anymore, that performance was disgraceful.

Every single pass he attempted was shite, he either gave it back to them or hit it against them and got lucky with it rebounding back to him.
Every tackle he attempted was shite.
And that header was atrocious, he had time and space to bring that down and take a shot. Even if that header was on target he aint scoring from there with that.

He shouldn't have started in centre midfield anyway, it only makes sense to move him there towards the end of game when your chasing a goal so he can player deeper and cross it into the box.
Everyone can have an off-day, and he has been our most important player across the season (for a few years in a row now), but yeah: when he can put in a rock-bottom horror show of a performance in the most important game of his career, it really is difficult to justify letting the team revolve around him. And even though he certainly has been an important player for us, he has gone through several lengthy spells of consistently poor performances. While I wouldn't say he needs to be sold, it's really iffy to make him central to our plans in light of the fact that he has shown himself capable of the ultimate failure when we need him the most.

While Amorim says that, I doubt this will be the case going forward. What I believe Amorim is trying to do is not to lose another quality player at the moment.

When having Mbeumo and Cunha, potentially Gyokeres, Bruno no longer needs to be the main man. Right now, unless he comes up with something, we cant score to save our lives, so his performances when bad, are hugely magnified. This will not be the case where you have other clutch players.

Played really well I thought for Portugal today.
He was fantastic tonight. Even when Portugal was losing, he looked great and was Portugal's best player. Vitinha and Conceicao were the game changers but that doesn't change the fact that Bruno had a superb game tonight.

Big season for Bruno coming up. He will need to evolve and modify his game from wanting to play on all areas of the pitch and playing killer passes all the time to becoming more disciplined - both positionally and how he uses the ball.

Will need to learn to just cover the central areas and occasionally get forward and focus on playing balls to the 2 WBs and the 2 #10s. HIs distribution is good and he can spot a pass so those attributes will be useful.

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this already, but Bruno has mostly been playing closer to as a central No. 10 when he’s not starting in one of the wider No. 10 roles, especially during our attacking phases. People often bring up how he can’t play in a double pivot, but the reality is, he probably doesn’t need to — our current system likely doesn’t even use a double pivot.

Ideally, Casemiro — or whoever is playing that No. 6 role — should be supported by the left and right center-backs stepping up to help close down space. If we’re unable to do that, there’s not much point in using a 3 CB system, and even replacing Bruno with a world-class DM/CM wouldn’t fundamentally change much. If anything, I actually think Bruno fits well into the way Amorim wants us to play.

Didn't do much today, but had a great semi final. Glad he gets a trophy at the end of this season and can finally get a well deserved rest

It's not that big a trophy but delighted for him after he lost that final with us few weeks ago.

Ice cold penalty, yet again. Delighted for him, really hope he gets to lift a trophy for United in the next few years.

My Captain.

Ronaldo was on his knees crying looking for the cameras while Bruno was over shaking hands with the Spanish players when the last penalty went in

This is the part of the year where I always worry the most about Bruno - what's he going to do now he can't run around like a madman twice a week for 90 minutes?!

Oh absolutely. I'll remember him far more fondly than Ronaldo, for all that CR7 did in a United shirt.

Crazy Caicedo is outdoing Enzo. What a player he is.

Regarding Bruno, it is a given with his game and ability.
What's interesting is that Caicedo played over 300 more minutes in the PL than Bruno, which makes Bruno's stats even more impressive.

There's literally a clip doing the rounds online of CR going to hug and shake the hands of the Spanish players after the final whistle, but sure he's an arrogant and self centred guy who's only looking for attention.

I'm sure it's not just me that doesn’t see this as entirely positive. He's so far in front of second place, does this not indicate that he's perhaps overdoing it?

Completing an insane amount of long passes surely means you're doing so instead of short passing or ball carrying, both of which suit a possession based team more.

If Bruno is going to be a deep lying conductor for us moving forward, this number will surely have to drop.

Another pointless stat that makes Casemiro much better player than Declan Rice too, he has same amount of long balls as Rice has in almost double the minutes?

If anything, Bruno and especially Casemiro being that high only means one thing - is that we are playing terrible football with so many long balls.

If we could replace him with a couple more Mason Mounts, who look neat and tidy with their 5-10 yard passes but very rarely open up a defence, then we'll be onto a winner.

Well if that's what you have concluded from this then I applaud you, because no one said bad word about Bruno and his style of football, but rather talking about the team's style of play team that finished 16th.

One of the things I dislike about Amorim's style of play is how slow it is and how we ignore potential counter attacks in favour of recycling position. Replace Bruno’s long passes with a midfielder who favours short passing and we'll be even duller to watch.

Bit Arsenal are boring and Rice is part of that. They've struggled to break teams down this year and resort to set pieces and throw ins.

I think Casemiro on the ball is maybe more effective than Rice.

Over 1,000 more minutes then the next player.

Over 3,000 more minutes more then the next outfield player.

His availability and fitness is truly insane.

Bloody hell, every season he's been averaging more than 6 full games more than the next outfield player on the list.

The stat is for completed long passes. This is literally a pass that advanced us a long way up the pitch quickly and successfully. How could you possibly try and twist that into a criticism?

Because teams that play good percentage of long passes are generally shite teams?

Team with most successfull long passes per game in PL this season(whoscored):
1. Everton
2. Man United
3. Bournemouth
4. Tottenham
5. Southampton

Can you read anything from these names being at the top of this table?
