Now that you've mentioned Bruno has more inaccurate long passes than anyone, I'll suggest the alternative: replace him with a safe passer who creates very few chances and watch us finish even lower than 16th under Amorim.

Because you're unimpressed with stats on long passes completed and seemingly think all of our midfielders should do more shorter passes, which would imply replacing Bruno with someone who doesn't attempt as many long passes.
How did you conclude that, when I literally repeated few times that our style of play is the real reason behind long passes, and not individuals?
Fair enough if that's your conclusion. A theme I've seen from a lot of games under Amorim is possession without purpose, and thankfully Bruno is one of the only players who does something different than looking for the safe pass every time. Whether that's because his teammates are lacking the confidence to take more risks, or because they're under instruction from Amorim to keep it safe and avoid quick transitions, I'm not sure.

If anything, there are a bunch of posts here mentioning that he's basically to us what Gerrard was to them in those seasons. The only thing missing for Bruno in that comparison is a defining performance in a European final and there's still time to correct that.
I'd argue that if he stays this good for another couple of years then there will be genuine debates about Bruno vs Gerrard. Currently I think the Gerrard comparisons stem more from him being a world class player and captain surrounded by dross teammates.

I know. I'd imagine Liverpool completed even more long passes per season under Klopp and achieved pretty high points totals because of it. Slot's style of play isn't quite as 'heavy metal' as Klopp's and yet they're still doing a relatively high number of completed long passes, so I agree with your point that completing long passes is not a bad thing
