Bruno was doing ridiculous stuff for Ole too. The managers who play him closer to goal get the best out of him. Big surprise there eh? We've spent the last 3 years shackling our best player and he's stuck with it, four years if you consider we asked him to run for depleted Ronaldo for a season and a half. He's a United legend

Granted he wins the PFA POTY like he looks like he will, the likes of De Bruyne, Gerrard and Lampard never swept up every top individual honor in a season like this in their primes.

I'd say this is his peak season in the PL and he will start to drop off next season. He deserves his flowers for all he's done in the league over the last 6 years. Ridiculous player

He has been consistently brilliant and yet he has consistently gotten stick for trivial things such as arm waving and a frowny face. Even during the week where he equals the assist record, he has Roy Keane misquoting him in an attempt to disparage such a phenomenal achievement.
Enjoy watching Bruno whilst we still have him, because we're sure as hell going to miss him when he's gone.

Maybe Pogba? But even then, I feel like some of the criticism was directed towards his agent rather than the player himself. Bruno has also been more consistent and less deserving of criticism than Pogba. So yeah - I can't think of anyone else who comes close.
You realise how misleading this is. It makes absolutely no sense to compare once you realise that after
319 games for Barca, Messi had 250+ goals + 100 assists.
325 games for Real Ronaldo had 300+ goals + 100 assists.

It's only misleading if Messi didn't hit his 100th assist in his 319th game and Ronaldo didn't hit his 100th assist in his 325th game.
If they did, then it's a perfectly acceptable stat for those that care about goals and assists combos - which seems to have been creeping in as an important metric for many recently.

It's saying how many games they took to hit 100 goals AND 100 assists though isn't it? Unless you're saying the games to do so it quotes is wrong?
I don't think anyone would for a second would think prime Messi and Ronaldo ONLY scored 100 goals in over 300 games.
Yeah, not sure what's so misleading. Half the point of the stat is to present the "versatility" required to both score and assist a lot. Most players lean very heavily towards one side. The same is true for Messi and even more so Ronaldo, but I guess the tweeter picked those two because they were in a league of their own in the modern game.

But it’s a comparison, that includes goals, and literally missed out hundreds. It presents Bruno as the player with better stats than Ronaldo and Messi, which is univocally false, and ridiculous.

If it was a goals total stat of course, they are miles clear in the games quoted.
But it's a stat talking about games to reach BOTH 100 goals AND 100 assists.
Bruno looks to have done it quicker than both of those players. Which feels quite impressive to me.

So according to you - getting 105 goals and 100 assists in one less game than Messi is the impressive bit, but only when you ignore that he has scored an additional 147 goals. Therefore making that comparison is not impressive at all.

Except it's not nonsense unless you're disputing the numbers? I really don't see how that's tough to see. Stats are stats, you can make them do what you want. You don't like it, pull up one of the many that will show how far in front Ronaldo and Messi undoubtedly are. But taking issue with numbers is an odd one.
