Okay.. so I've now decided that if we don't sign him in the next 48 hours, i'm going to smash my computer.

I'm seriously running out of patience. He will be our best signing POST Sir alex era

Interesting, my plan is to smash the mrs if we sign him in the next 24hrs. Otherwise, i'll just keep trawling forums.

If this is how you’re dealing with Bruno I hate to think how you survived to Ronaldo return links a few years back.

It's so entertaining to see all the fellow muppets getting hard on this transfer.

Never change, lads.

And continue to play Lingard at 10? Sure
Lingard is finished. It’s Pereira that will be displaced at 10. I’m not saying Bruno isn’t an upgrade on Pereira, but what we are really in dire need is an upgrade/replacement on Matic.

Bruno will walk into our first 11 without breaking a sweat.
yes, I agree with that. But where will he play/who does he replace? If he comes into the #10 slot and we have a 3 of Matic Fred and Bruno we won’t see as much improvement as we would hope. But if he can slot into McTom’s usual place and we play a 3 of Fred Bruno and Andreas as the 10 we might be better of as a team.

edit: when we have McT and Pogba fit, of course Bruno at 10.

For what it's worth I have it on good authority from a friend that's entering the world of player management (former professional player in Greece, France and Australia) and was at Sportings last game, that our scouts along with Spurs scouts were running their eyes over him.

I trust his judgement when he says "he's a special player.. really stands out here.. good technically, smart, composed and has a real engine.. ran everywhere."

Obviously the Portuguese league is of a different standard but we are in desperate need of a creative spark so I'm hoping talks continue to advance.
Someone's going to figure out who he is in like fifteen seconds.

What? The other way around man.

Matic is still much better at his job than Andreas. When Matic plays as a DM we concede less, that’s a fact.
When Andreas plays as a 10, does he score? Does he assist? Does he help dictate out attacks?

We need both types of players.
Indeed we do. If there’s a patient having a heart attack but he has also been shot in the leg and has cancer, you eventually need to treat all three situations. But you need to define which requires the most urgent care.

Herrera didn't kick doors. This type of behaviour is one you'd expect from Raiola.
I don't get why people are claiming what he does there is great? It's petulant and downright disrespectful.

Roy Keane never had to go around doing criminal damage to get his mentality across, nor did Herrera.

Roy Keane occasionally went around damaging peoples legs to get his mentality across and admitted it!
It's a very high level of passion for the game after being sent off, I'm sure stuff like this happens a lot but we rarely see it. Would prefer this kind of feeling than the pally pally hugs and kisses they have in most premier league tunnels these days

Why are United haggling over Bruno when they went all sharpish for Wan Bissaka + Maguire at £130m? The logic is mind-boggling. Just pay the damn money, he is that good. Would be funny if Mourinho stole him from under their nose when Ed is dilly dallying.

Roy Keane punched Schmeichel in the face.

So, apparently they wanted 65m in the summer.. No one was interested.

They came back and said they would consider a lower offer..

And now they want Rojo but dont want to pay his wages..

I dont understand why Woody even entertains these skint clubs..

Desperate for money.. trying to sell their best player to raise cash.. acting like they have the stronger negotiating position.. How incompetent do they think we are?

nevermind.. I dont want to know.

This post was awesome. The calm logic. The escalating ire. And then you can practically taste the moment where the 'Ah....right. Woodward.' hits.

Palace wanted 70m initially. We dragged it out for weeks to get it done at 55m.

We spent all summer haggling over those players and didn’t seem to actually get the price down.
