No they don't give a damn about resale value that's actually not how big Clubs operate what they seem to be mindful of and rightly so is the fact any big money signing should be good enough to warrant a starting spot atleast through out their initial contract length which tend to be a challenge when you spend big transfer fee and big wages on a player approaching 30's .
Not exactly a recipe for long term success .
