Excited to see him and Cunha in European competition next season hopefully. I reckon Mbeumo would hypothetically be currently on 15 goals in all comps if we had some form of European competition this year and hadn’t had the Grimsby debacle, which would have been a very good return. His versatility is great too.

His tracking back for the last 10 was absolute class. Put a real shift in.
 
Mbeumo should play in Amad's position when Sesko is on the pitch. He is the best crosser in the team. I see instantly the danger he brings when he plays on the right which is what he was doing a Brentford. Going forward Sesko should start all games against bottom sides that play low and Mbeumo MUST be on the right. He is wasted on the left.
 
I don't know what you do with him in these type of games.

That was dreadful. He had no confidence to take his man on and his touch was horrific.

Play him right wing. His actual position. Thought he looked much better when we finally did that.
 
He is basically just a G/A magnet with relatively limited all round game.

Did he? Is that based on Sesko scoring a worldy of a pretty average ball into the box? I thought he did nothing all game tbh.

Much better is the wrong phrase but he did suddenly look more natural and him going there resulted in some actual delivery into the box.

He was never a player who beats his man. He is stat merchant (and i mean that in positive way). Player who gets the ball in dangerous area and shoots. His finishing is world class.

What more was he supposed to do ? Thought he did well given the circumstances.

He was turgic first half. The entire game was played on his side and he had zero interest on taking AWB on - though tbf I actually wouldn't back him to beat him.

The set up was shit though, we should've kept the ball away from AWBs side - everyone knows how good he is when you're actively trying to attack his side of the pitch.
 
A superb signing as many have stated. He wasn't great this evening, but I do not blame him. Cunha has upset our balance, and unless it is working, it looks patchy. Mbuma was spending far, far too much time running back towards his own goal, he was a right back for some time late in the second-half. That's not right. We need him up front, running the line as the key, the main striker.
 
No way to really disguise how disappointing Mbuemo was tonight. His control is iffy at times but when he is scoring it's not such an issue but nothing stuck and he didn't seem remotely dangerous.

Think this is true. Think Cunha and Amad are both more talented players but not as good or composed in making the final pass or shot. Think I'd drop Cunha next game and play Mbuemo from the left
 
Shite cross and due to Sesko magic he gets an assist. Pretty poor today, but he has been a great signing. Hopefully that's the crap performance out of his system.

He's has a few poor performances tbh. However you'll always rely on him to score because he's so clinical.
 
He’s great at so many things but thought he should’ve come off and Cunha stay on. He’s not great if not given much space. He’s quick when he gets going but lacks acceleration to get that half yard when it’s needed.
 
Not sure why we were playing Cunha as the "striker" and Mbeumo on the left wing. Other than the idea that he cant play as a striker when we have most of the ball and are looking to carve out chances but I dont see what Cunha playing there and Mbeumo on the wing does to change that because hes no better at that striker role. The solution is clearly Sesko as the striker if Mbeumo is playing on the wing trying to linkup with a striker.

But he certainly looked bad as a leftwinger and a bit better on the right wing at least getting a decent cross in that Sesko did great to score
 
If he’s not involved in a goal he’s usually not doing anything particularly well.
 
Never got stuck in upfront, needed to show some toughness upfront but went missing
 
It feels like if he not banging them in, he's just jogging around with no intensity.
 
Like most of our attackers, he has a low bottom level. And no I'm not trying to make an arse joke.
 
I dont believe in luck. There is a reason Mbeumo was the one who crossed that ball from the right (his natural position) and Sesko the one who scored against a team playing 9 at the back. If there is any lesson to take from this game, the goal is the blueprint against teams that play like West Ham.

Really weird today, his first touch was there, but his second touch regularly got away from him or gave the opposition a chance. Hell end the season on about 15 goals, so can't complain really. Hopefully less of these games in the future.
 
It was totally obvious he was never going to get joy through the middle today, no idea why he started there.

He's clearly our best crosser of the ball (outside of Bruno, obvs), so why he wasn't out on the right with Sesko in the middle I'll never know.

Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder what's happened to his first touch and close control in the last few months?

When he first arrived, the ball was stuck to his feet any time it was played to him, now it's bouncing off him!
 
With Dorgu being out we have a problem on the left wing. Cunha isn't it, and I think thats why Mbeumo was tried there yesterday. I'm not against the idea tbh, but I think Sesko needs to start too because there's then at least a target in it box.

Also doesn't help that Luke Shaw's days as an attacking outlet from LB appear to be over. Whoever is over on that LW is gunna have to do it alone.

Yeah, that's usually his best attribute, and it deserted him, particularly yesterday
