His first touch has gone off the boil in the last few months. Takes him ages to control the ball.
Suggests a lack of sharpness to me. Which is concerning given how few games we’ve played this season.

A lot of people saying only recently his touch has been poor. I said from the beginning that his touch was not as good as it was being made out to be, and the stats backed it up. He was losing the ball and miscontrolling it from day one here, but he was a new signing so people overlooked it.

Very worrying that his actual all around game is this bad. Without the odd goal here and there he's a net negative to us.

Worst player on the pitch, can't believe he was banging in goals and playing until recently and now he looks quite the low level player, very shocking performance and hopefully a stint in the bench behind Amad will give him a kick to get out of this funk

I'm not really sure what he's good at other than being a pacey finisher.

Good player to have in the squad but Amad's ceiling is so much higher.

He should have been subbed off at the half time. Poor touch, poor attitude, got booked early, couldn't buy a pass. Beyond bad.

Worse player than I thought he was.. prolific winger but his all round game is really average.. Bowen plays better for contrast.

Disappointed with his performance. That chance in the first half was massive and changes the game for us if he hits the target. He has to be hitting the target from there. He's brought in to score in those types of situations. He should be using chances like that to up his numbers. Aside from that, he offered very little else.

He's been sloppy and slow for months. Made up for it with some output, but he looks dead on his feet.

You’d think Mbeumo has been a disaster of a signing from reading this…
He has been a disaster. Hope you understand now why I said he offers nothing. Stats dont tell the whole story. Mbeumo could never score a goal like Newcastle's second, yet United needs wingers who can produce such goals if it aspires to be a top club. Mbeumo is a mid to lower table hustler with no technique. I have never seen him in the last 8 months at United either take on a player like Cunha, or any other decent winger would do, or shoot the ball at goal. Heck even Zirkzee and Amad offer far more attacking threats than him with less minutes. When did you ever see Mbeumo attempt the type of shot Zirkzee took?

His worst game for us, played like he was carrying an injury. He is also very one-footed and Newcastle constantly showing him to his right foot all night shut him out of the game.

On the wing hes awful. His body language is defaulted to open his body for a backward or sideways pass.

He doesn't even attempt to take on a full back.

Shocking tonight -- quite comfortably the worst player on the pitch. Should have been taken off at half time.

Yeah that's a fair point. Under Carrick he was looking a lot better playing central.

He started to look off the pace before AFCON. He livened up after Carrick came in but seems to have regressed again. Playing upfront often probably hasn't helped, but he really needs to pick things up.

Think he was the worst winger on the pitch today. Should have scored the rebound in the first half, had 1 good run in behind the defence that Bruno found then he didnt even try to use his favoured foot to shoot, decided to turn to his right side and played a poor ball

Deserved to be subbed off. Skied a golden opportunity in the first half and seemed to lack energy vs 10 men in the second half. I would drop him for Amad in the next game.

Poor tonight.

I actually think he has looked better through the middle than out wide.

Man, he's turning to absolute dog shite. Really thought he had more in his locker.

Not a striker or a winger he’s a right sided 10 and was bought for that system…

Feels more like an impact sub and squad player than someone who should be first choice.

When he doesn’t score or get an assist he usually looks pretty crap, had a little spell like this before AFCON. Hopefully he gets back to scoring again soon.

Yes. I had hoped he was a rock solid 6 or 7 out of 10 player whose fundamentals were absolutely sound, at the very least.

His bad games are 2's and 3's. He should not be capable of that.

He’s one of the few in the squad who should be used to playing one game a week. It’s clear that he struggles more when we play two games in a week.
