I'm not saying it can't work, I just think the general team trade off you get isn't worth it with Mbeumos level. He's not the level of someone like Salah was for example where you shift your whole team to cater to the wide forward and actually compete for the biggest trophies.

As of now, all of amad, Cunha and mbeumo are the level of challenging for top 4 spots, but not good enough to challenge for a title (unless the rest of the team is elite like Arsenal where they challenge despite their front 3). Amad probably the only one who has it in him to become enough to make the step up beyond that, otherwise I'd say they're all squad players at that level.

Based on their performances this season yeah. If Cunha or Mbeumo were able to fit systems and find their previous club form I think they are good enough. I'm just not convinced that'll happen and if it does it might be because we signed other players to fit them better.

I am not convinced of him. I think in the long run we will need to replace him. When you look at Champions League matches and see Olise, Khvicha, Barcola, Diaz etc, you realize the difference in quality between him and others. He is a good finisher and player with good pace to get on the end of things, but his overall passing, touches, dribbling, decision making etc is miles apart from top players where we intend to be, it will show up in Champions league next season.

Mbeumo has his strengths but ultimately as a wide attacker, his dribbling / ability in tight spaces is just too poor. That expect of his game is akin to a tall physical lumbering centre forward. I always had reservations but felt he gave us qualities we didn’t have (decisiveness, great shot etc), but for the money spent you need better technical quality really.

Really struggling at the moment. Started so well but hasn’t been good for some time now. Hopefully, he can have a good pre-season and come back better. We can’t afford to be writing off everyone who joins us, especially with huge transfer fees like his, and he’s shown what he can do, just needs to get that form back.

There are players who are good at what they do, but just on a bad form (like Amad), and there are players who look like don't fit the role they've been asked to play.

I don't know where he goes from here. He is not a winger, does not have technical but first of all physical attributes for it as he's quite slow.

Why is it that this club loves #10s that have no clear functional role to play in a healthy system? At the same time, neither Mbuemo nor Cunha (who at least is faster) are really considered to take over Bruno role.

I'm pessimistic about him. Probably next season he's 2ns choice RW/backup striker. It's uninspiring.

True. Cunha, I think has a higher ceiling, because he has that xfactor in his game with the ability to conjure up something, i have a feeling, he will remain at the club, whereas Mbeumo will need to be moved on after next season. We should always give the signings two seasons to prove themselves that's enough time to realize their ability.

I think he will benefit if Dalot was a bit braver going forward, something we could see next year if we have more athleticism in our midfield.
