Mbeumo's f*ckin’ magic,
He wears a magic hat,
And when he saw Old Trafford,
He said I fancy that.

He didn’t sign for Newcastle,
Or Arsenal ‘cos they're sh*te,
He signed for Man United,
Cos they’re f*cking dynamite...

I love that Cunha and Mbuemo are 26 and 25 respectively.

I never mind signing younger players but we desperately needed prime aged players who are ready to take responsibility and perform.

I really hope we can agree a deal with Brentford.

that front three certainly looks better than what we have now....Trincao would be a great addition as well but Mbeumo has shown he can score in the premier league

DeLigt better be prepared to cover that wing with Amad playing there and Case/Bruno would get over run by most teams as Cas doesnt have the legs and Bruno isn't disciplined defensively enough in that role

Onana has to go for Emi Martinez
Yoro makes more sense as RCB if Amad is RWB.

Like him, he’s a good player and improves us but the deal has shades of Mount. In that a good player is available so we’ve jumped and flashed the credit card.

Not sure how this leaves the first eleven, and with no Europe next season there’s not a great deal of rotation and you wanted a generally settled team.

Fernandes, Cunha and Mbuemo are all starter level - but they all operate in the two 10s…. This means either Fernandes drops to the midfield two which is far from ideal when we get walked through the middle of the park, or one of the three will be leading the line meaning we won’t be going for an established nine.

Back line to be debated but this doesn’t fill me with confidence and feel there were bigger priorities to address first and foremost

Then Mount/Kobbie/Zirkzee to rotate around them?

This is all based on Hojlund not leading the line for us next season but who even knows what’ll happen with him at this point.

Love Bruno but just not confident with him in the middle, we lose all midfield battles and aren’t even an effective counter team. If Amorim still wants to build a controlling team we can’t have Bruno in the middle, he operates much better in the advanced role.

Likewise even Mainoo I think will end up more advanced than someone in the middle leaving us essentially with Ugarte and Casemiro for the middle two who actually play there.

Again - I like Mbuemo, very solid player that improves us. Just lean towards 9/GK/Effective 6.

love this chant. Fits in well

Some seem surprised players are keen to join, but it's probably quite an attractive prospect to get in at the start of a major recovery.

This season was so scandously bad that there's huge room for improvement and momentum and this reset looks pretty good.

2 ideal age hungry players who can have come off superb seasons.
Am not surprised that they want to come to United as no top clubs are in for them, as we've seen with Delap.

And West Ham.

Got my tickets in the United supporters section for the game in Atlanta against Everton, got to sit through Bournemouth vs West Ham first but I am pretty fired up for it now in a way that Liam Delap did not do for me. First time my youngest will be seeing them and my first game since the home match with Brentford in October.

Not only Cunha and Mbuemo bring creativity and goals, it would also solve our massive lack of physicality in forward positions.

Not to mention that signing both of them might convince someone like Gyokeres. With them 2 playing behind a striker, you are not short on chances and goals.

INEOS have got their shit together. Looks like we finally mean business.

Ornstein literally name dropped Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham as also being interested in Mbuemo

Have a feeling something will go wrong with this one. Seems a bit too good to be true. Possibly the only signing in years and years that I'd be sure to be a success

I wonder if he could end up as the CF

United fan as a kid, agent Onana been working. Think we’ll be fine

Agreed.

I think it's a stupid signing unfortunately. I kinda got Cunha, but this just feels silly and just typical of the silly things we've done for th last 5 years especially.

The fact that so many of our fans are excited about it, pretty much reaffirms my belief too.

I'm desperately hoping Newcastle can save us from ourselves here.

Would be the best thing he's done for United

Mount was coming off a terrible season where he also dealt with injuries, and we bought him without any real fit in our starting XI. There's very little in common here.

Also not sure why you think this means we aren't signing a striker.

Yeah, I do share those concerns. I think Mbeumo would be a fantastic signing in a vacuum but in the context of our team I don’t think it makes a lot of sense unless Bruno and/or Mainoo leave (I’d rather keep either and both over Mbeumo) and we sign a more physical and complete midfielder. Mount and Casemiro don’t have a lot or value on the market now.

I think one of the great draws in guys like Cunha and Mbeumo is the tactical flexibility they give you, Cunha can play all across the front line, he is a versatile attacker, having multiple players of that type in the team creates an unpredictability and fluidity that most of our best teams have had.

Go back 2 years and it was Rash/Hojlund/Garnacho, 3 head down and run players, of course it didn't work.

I dont see the Mount comparison, at all.

Mount was coming off a poor season with Chelsea in 22/23 - 24 games, 3 goals and 2 assists. He missed the last 3 months of the season.
The year before he played 32 PL games, scored 11 and assisted 10.

So we signed Mount on the back of a down season. It was also a terrible deal because we paid 60mil when he only had a year left on his contract at Chelsea, paid him 250k a week and bailed Chelsea out of a whole heap of PSR pain.

Then, there was the tactical questions. Where was he going to play in Ten Hags 433 as he would never push Bruno out? Ten Hag started with two 10s and Casemiro sitting. After getting ripped open in the first 3 games of the 23/24 season to Wolves, Spurs and Forest, Ten Hag dropped the two 10s system. Of course, Mount predictably spent most of the rest of the season injured.

Compare that to Mbeumo, who has come off the best season of his life, played all 38 PL games and scored 20 goals. We also know where he is going to play in Amorim's system.

There is no real comparison, in my opinion.

I think you should probably forget about team line ups right now because we are going to see a lot more ins and outs. Dont bank on Bruno being here.

Spurs finished below us. Newcastle aren't a top club. If Arsenal was serious, he'd chose them, am sure of that.

So 110M Zirkzee and Hojlund don’t work and we just splash out another 100 on two new ones? Cool strategy.
