Buzzing about this news and I hope we get the agreement with Brentford over the line.

Bigger question in the context of our squad building: how would we be feeling if we enter the next season without a new striker, but with Cunha and Mbeumo as the two 10s?
 
Signing Mbeumo and Cunha so early in the window is a pretty big balls statement. Surprising given our usual tenancy to drag transfers out for ages.

Hopefully these two deals will encourage future signings for other positions we need. Maybe that is the intention as well.

With no Europe., I guess thats our midfield unless we sell some.

Definitely think we will sign a GK and probably a left wing back.

Would take that if the striker is one of Osimhen or Gyokeres. European places considering the lack of CL to cloud the schedule.
 
Would love to see him in a United shirt. Brentford will take us to the cleaners to get him and will probably demand 70-75M pounds, which may end up almost all of possibly 80M we will make from Bruno. And we obviously will need to sell Bruno to afford Mbeumo, but feck it! Let's do it!

The same Eriksen who has won 2 trophies and played in 4 finals in his 3 seasons at the club. They seem to think it's a given they'll finish above us next season, despite this year being the first time they've done it in close to 100 years.

Our banter era would be the greatest spell in the history of these clubs and they still can't fathom why players want to join. This is us at our lowest and they think it's going to last forever. I spent the first 25 years of my life being as gracious and understated as I could when we were winning all round us, but when we do get our shit together again, however long it takes, I am going to be an unbearable prick to all these clowns.

Amazing post. Basically word for word where I'm at. Always tried to humble and appreciated that club's that don't win anything aren't 'lesser' but this period has really turned all that on its head. The rise of social media won't help but it isn't just these two clubs, seeing fans of clubs like Villa and Forest just be absolutely insufferable little warts has left me feeling like it's all out the window. feck em. I'm going to be a proper bell end, no more humble pie, just straight up arrogant prick syndrome from me.

The price will be around fifty million.
 
So many of those balls that come into him come from Daamsgard. He would love to play with Bruno, if he signs, and Bruno stays.

A good solid pre season puts him in the frame to be a starter, obviously you can’t measure that on 2 goals in a post season friendly against poor opposition. However from what I’ve seen of him I think he can make an impact for next season. Movement is good looks more of an attacking threat than what we had last season.

I'm hoping Ruben will give Chido-Obi far more time next year. His stats are insane and he scored a nice brace the other day too. He looks sharp, fast, strong and can score with both feet and is great at headers too.

Victor Musa is another highly rated striker we have in the youth teams as well as the highly rated French midfielder Enzo Kana-Biyik who is said to be better than Pogba was at his age. I hope Ruben can bring those in to the first team. Chido is only 17 with Musa and Enzo both 18. We could have our very own trio of Yamal, Doue and Mayulu.... Those kids are doing it at the highest level, there's no reason our lads can't do the same.

I've noticed that since INEOS have come on board, we tend to get things done a lot quicker.

I’ve been a grumpy git in the last month on CAF but this for me if true is the most transformative transfer we can make this summer. I was invited by a friend of mine to the GTech in August 2022 when we lost that infamous game 4-0 to Brentford and most of United fans who were in the stadium just looked in shock and awe as we were 4-0 down after 35 minutes, genuinely worrying that we might get battered 6 or 7 that day, I remember vividly watching A young 22/23 year old right inside forward demolish us, his delivery from set pieces should not be underestimated either, he’s a huge upgrade from corners with an in swinging left foot, his build up is fantastic and we simply have to get this deal done, Amad and Mbeumo down the right will be frightening.

This transfer excites me more than any in the last decade, Here’s 10 reasons why?

1 . He’s PL Proven
2. He’s Proven goalscorer whose proven he can score 20 PL goals from wide right Striker
3. He’s rumoured to be a Man United Fan
4. He’s at his peak years 25-29 with the club
5. He can still improve and get even better
6. He’s a workhorse and never stops running
7. He’s a creator as well as a goal scorer
8. He’s a mercurial leftie and we need even more than just him and Amad.
9. He’s going to be a great mentor for young players like Amad and Shea Lacey
10. At £50m and probably £150k per week he could be the bargain of the transfer window.

Like with Cunha, they both seem to come alive when there's space to counter attack. Neither seem that strong under pressure or have that ability where the ball is glued to them in tight spaces so they're near impossible to dispossess. We are crying out for players of this ilk who can unlock parked buses rather than fast, counter attackers.

Though Mbeumo seems closer to that type of player than Cunha does, to be fair.

I agree with this sentiment aswell tbf.

Exciting signings and they look an improvement on our current options but worried they dont change the dimension of our team much when playing against low block teams.

Everyone's looking the numbers just this season and the XG but this is when he caught my eye as well.
 
I hope this one gets done. And please don't let this drag on for a whole month. Mbeumo + Cunha would be an exciting start to this summer.

Can we not do this nonsense? Romano has repeatedly called things first. He's also stuck to his guns when clubs rubbished his reports and in the end the player did move that same window so he was right. FFS. He's tier 1 without dispute.
 
From what I'm hearing and reading Manchester United have not signed Bryan Mbuemo. Talks could be ongoing but due to the confidential nature of the discussions it could be hours or days before we learn something.

Bryan Mbuemo is a professional footballer who plays as a forward or right winger for Premier League club Brentford. Born in France, he represents the Cameroon national team.

Pretty sure those were actually worse terms than usual, as it was relating to a release clause that dictates payments. You should be able to spread the payments over more time than that with a normal transfer.

I agree, but we are lacking money. A new keeper and striker are stronger needs than a midfielder at the moment if Bruno stay. If Bruno leave them we will have the money to invest in midfield

If I had to choose between a new goalkeeper and a new striker with Mbuemo added, I would choose keeper.

Rasmus is really struggling but I think it's form. I feel strongly that Onana is just an awful keeper. And Hoijland in bad form may win us fewer points but Onana will lose us many regardless

I know that. I'm just wondering why he's writing like we'd be paying 25m in addons. Not sure why that matters to us as fans. It should as an accountant though. Sure it would be nice to spread the payments out but that won't affect how fans see the transfer. It's still gonna be the full 50m.
