It's a bit belaboured and over-written but to be fair it's good for him to get it out now so he can start writing his cover letter to be Juve manager.

Those who try to obtain the favourable attention of an Old Lady are accustomed to come before her with the things that they value most, or which they think the Old Lady will most enjoy...

United and Juve have always had good relations and Buffon is a legend so wish him well. Didn't know about any of this fascist stuff though.

Between them, Gianluigi Buffon, Peter Shilton and Stanley Matthews have made at least one first-team appearance in every season since 1931-32.

He already left them and came back a few years ago, didn't he?

If I was a Juve player, I'm not putting any money into another leaving present. You got one already, that's it.

You get a "good luck, have fun" written in a card someone else bought and that's it.

Another trophy for this legend during his last game for the club

His record this year: 14 games, 12 wins, 2 draw, 6 clean sheets. Only once did he concede more than one goal (2 against Genoa). Old man still got it!

Sounds like he got that call from Kevin Bacon.

I think he either just can't let go or owes a pile of money and has to keep playing to pay it back.

Given we're starting to see outfield players last till late 30s i wouldn't say it's a big surprise to see keepers go into their 40s.

shame that he never lifted the CL. One of the greatest goalkeepers ever.

where do you guys think he ranks among goalskeepers all time? Surely in the top 3, right?

I think he's one of the best ever. But he's barely played in 3 years.

18 days shy of his 45th birthday and still making decisive last minute saves:
Unfortunately, lost in extra-time in the end.

Bonucci did that, not him.

Edit: you were right.. He did it too.

Way to go for Gigi, we have Boranga (former Serie A gk) still active at 80 with amateurs. :D
