He's a great player but he doesn't deserve that much credit for the assist
Why? Im not so much talking about the five yard pass he made, but the run before that. That said, something as simple as the 5 yard pass often gets messed up by players. His pass had the right weight for Hakimi to strike first time.

Leverkusen beating Gladbach 3-1, been a cracking football match, really competitive and plenty of high quality play particularly in the second half.
Barely noticed there’s no crowd because the coaches are really vocal anyway.

To me the most crucial thing he did was pick up the ball and beat his man right at the start of his run without losing any speed whatsoever.

Ive been watching Dortmund for the last 10 or so minutes but it definately sparked into life in the second half. Felt Gladbach were unfortunate to concede a pen.

Impressive from Dortmund. Put under pressure in the second half and did well.
Looking forward to Tuesday.

Yeah it seemed like he just caught him in the follow through didn’t it. They were a bit hard done by but Leverkusen were good value for their win, they moved the ball really well throughout.

The touch was perfect to keep the ball close to him, yet away from his marker. It allowed him to go on the same run that led to the assist.

Just seen the reverse fixture Bayern got battered 5-1 ... Reckon this could be a battering for Frankfurt today as revenge?

You never know. Thiago does not play. Gnabry missed training Wednesday and Thursday because of problems (that he always seems to have first matchdays after breaks) and does not start. And all offensives but Müller come out of injuries.

1-0 Bayern. Lovely goal for Goretzka after great work down the left from Muller.

Bayern looking very sharp.

Lots of pressure from Bayern. This could get ugly for Frankfurt.

It would be such a shame for Davies to stay in Germany. It's Bayern, yeah, but still.

A shame about the UCL this season if it doesn't get completed, really think Bayern would've had a chance. The team is really working well under Flick.

Thomas Muller was supposedly finished... now he's world class again

What a brilliant player he is on this form

Even in previous seasons, he's become one of the best assist makers in the league and Europe (statistically). He might have lost his goalscoring ability somewhat but the movement never stopped, so he's managing to get more assists. 70 assists (43 goals) in the last 3.5 seasons is a pretty great record for a playmaker.

Overall, he had a bit of the downturn in form but has come back really strong the last two seasons.

Ancelotti and Kovac (especially fecking Kovac) had no idea how to get use out of him, it was sad to watch.

Davies is the most impressive teenager I've seen in a Bayern shirt since forever. Tremendous footballer already, scary to think what he could be in a couple of years.

Never knew Muller was such a good passer actually. They're all placed exactly where they need to be at the right speed.

Watching an english broadcast and I really love that there are no pointless halftime interviews. That's one thing I like playing behind closed doors.

Imagine managing the german national team and deciding to permanently cut Müller.
