De Gea is decent with his feet. When he arrived to the PL it was one of his distinctive best features.I did. When did he misplace passes?
Yeh. I think this is the best explanation, judging by his credential. Also he may rotate with Hartis and other Gk coaches when they are in need.I was thinking that but in the end two heads are better than one. And realistically they must have other responsibilities too, taking the odd session with the academy and stuff.
Craig Pawson.I thought this was about a referee, i was so confused
So average at best means there are at least 10 goalkeepers better with their feet. So who are the other 7 better than him? Hes not top tier, but I think his passing from the back is a little underrated now, perhaps due to the style we've played in recent years.De Gea is decent with his feet. The goalkeeping in the PL has changed over the last 10 years though; and now you have keepers like Allison, Kepa and Ederson who would not feck up playing RB for their respective sides.
Now De Gea is average at best league-wise. He is not terrible though, thats such an over-exaggeration and so very Caf.
His next aim is Dean now. Good lad. Can't argue about signing the bloke who made Heaton and Pope into England keepers.
Bizarre post. There's an overwhelming amount of evidence the club is poorly run. That doesn't mean they're incapable of making good decisions here and there.Where are all of the nutters from the DOF, Woodward and Haaland threads at tonight? We need somebody to dissect the club’s recruitment strategy and pretend as if they were sitting in on the interview process.
I will wait.
Nah, he plays for Watford.Craig Pawson.
De Gea might be the worst pk goalkeeper I've seen playing for United. I can only recall him saving one. Against Van Persie of all people.I hope he coaches De Gea to save a penalty.............Deeney sends his down the middle.....the whole world knew it except Dave!
He moves too early. Should take a leaf out of the David Seaman playbook. Just focus on saving penalties which are near enough to you. Forget the ones which hit the corners and move only at the last moment. Dave's superior shot-stopping reflexes mean that he is well equipped to do this. After a while, opposing strikers will get spooked and keep thinking they better shoot for the higher-risk corners which increases the likelihood of misses.De Gea might be the worst pk goalkeeper I've seen playing for United. I don't recall any ground passes, but he flopped a couple of goal kicks and at least one clearance right into the chest of the opposition.I did. When did he misplace passes?
I remember at least twice. I was thinking wtf, couldn't he just kick the ball out for throw in instead.I don't recall any ground passes, but he flopped a couple of goal kicks and at least one clearance right into the chest of the opposition.
He also specialises in sending the ball straight into the sidelines.
He's terrible with his feet, one of the worst I've seen at this level.
This is amazing. Thanks, you made me audibly chuckle alone in the dark.*David De Gea goes through run of poor form
United: where’s that guy who coaches Joe Hart?
I think De Gea is a monster in 1 v 1 chances.Hope he coaches Dave how to come off the line.
Presuming they meant coming for crosses, dominating his area which he is poor at.I think De Gea is a monster in 1 v 1 chances.
Coming off his line is the least of his problems.
I thought that too. If a freshening up of De Gea's coaching can help him cut out the poor aspects to his game that have crept in over the past 18 months or so that's great, but I'd also like to think this move has been made with an eye on our future with Henderson. His next aim is Dean now. Good lad.
I was joking though, but if it sounds legit then let it be.I thought that too. It’s a perfectly reasonable post. This forum (particularly threads such as those I mentioned) is full of half-baked halfwits that think they know about the recruitment processes at Manchester United - even though they have, in all likelihood, never held down a serious job in their lives. It’s an amusing dynamic.Bizarre post. There's an overwhelming amount of evidence the club is poorly run. That doesn't mean they're incapable of making good decisions here and there.
To be fair if Dave wasn't going through an extended crisis no one would bat an eyelid to this. The lad must be grinning from ear to ear, you know you've made it when within 24 hours of joining the Manchester United family you're already on a 2nd page of a RedCafe thread dedicated entirely to you. Craig who ya say?
I know right? How can people watch the game and not note those freakish kicks is beyond me.I remember at least twice. I was thinking wtf, couldn't he just kick the ball out for throw in instead.
Ofcourse, crosses I meant.I think De Gea is a monster in 1 v 1 chances.
Coming off his line is the least of his problems.
Is it an extended crisis, or has he just found his level, on his day one of the best around, but always prone to a serious blooper - not sure a good/bad coach will change him much at this stage of his career. To be fair if Dave wasn't going through an extended crisis no one would bat an eyelid to this.
