Watched it earlier today. Really enjoyed it.
Just want to say thank you so much for mentioning this. I dont watch much live tv these days. But that was an amazing watch and reminded me why I am hopelessly in love with this football club. I genuinely believe ours is the greatest story ever told in football.

A documentary on Johnny Giles tonight shown on RTE 2 .
He was 17 when Munich occurred and he said at the time they were told to stay at home and when he returned it just wasn’t talked about.
Very good insight into his early days as a player, he played a semi final in 1962 which Utd lost and he was terrible .
From then on he said Busby lost faith in him , everything he did was wrong. He still stayed at the club for an another year winning the FA Cup in 62-63
He asked for a transfer After that cup win and without any hesitation Matt sais yes.
The stubbornness when Giles was talking (re Busby)reminded me of SAF
Busby said after it was the biggest mistake he made leaving Giles join Leeds
