Inter Milan are part of the biggest financial scandal in Italian football since Calciopoli.

A confidential report reveals nearly €300m in revenues from fictitious Asian sponsors (2016-2019), allegedly used to bypass Financial Fair Play.

That's a lot of money. Like...a January transfer window for City/PSG money.

It's been rumored/known about for years but it seems there's either never been an investigation or there was but it was quashed

Either way afaik nothing's coming off it

Yeah, I was expecting something brand new here, but it's the same old info that was reported back in 2021. Maybe Foot Mercato ended up with the same confidential info that the Italian outlet in 2021 got.

The biggest financial scandal since Calciopoli.

A bit like the biggest maritime disaster since the Hindenburg, no?

Every couple of years, a story like this pops up and all the talking heads emerge like clockwork, claiming it's a "BOMBSHELL" that will be "bigger than Calciopoli".

Then it turns out to be a complete nothingburger and everyone promptly forgets about it.

Every now and then a story like this comes out of Italy, we should all know what that means.

Italy are winning the World cup next year.

There is even no need for them to hire legions of minions and spam the internet with the most unplausible explanations like Barcelona, they just send the club's smartphone covers and playstations to the courts, the FIGC, Infantino, some ministers and a lot of the Italian favorite stand up clowns.
