Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday will be the game Fernandes at least equals it as Forest are so open at the back, pretty sure Casemiro will be back and likely Sesko will be too so we’ll be at full strength and want to finish off our home games off in style.

Personally couldn’t care less about the record.

Assists are not something to celebrate.

Bruno is a phenomenal player, irrespective of such a blunt metric.

Well, it’s become some sort of thing. Never used to be.

They would celebrate Bruno in any case because he’s our absolute stand out player, and fantastic captain.

Not like that. With the goalkeeper coming up? Everyone is happy about him equalling the record.
 
Even if he doesn’t break the record that’s still one hell of an achievement for him to equal it. Pleased for him.

State of you, can’t take a different viewpoint.

Missed the bit about him being a phenomenal player. I don’t need a stat that doesn’t mean anything to celebrate a great player.

Assists mean a significant contribution to a goal, which, you know, is a kind of important thing in football.

It’s a thread specifically related to the record. It’s not a performance thread. If you don’t care why have you opened it? Just to tell us you don’t care. Like I say, wonderful contribution.

He's one of the all time PL greats. Real shame for him he doesn't have a PL winners medal. His talent is deserving of one

What about the assist before the assist. Often it’s far from the 2nd most important action.

What we are actually seeing now is that an assist is/ will be celebrated more than a goal. That’s absurd to me.

Not just him, all our attackers decision making is fecking dreadful. He should be out of sight this season.

An assist isn't being celebrated more than a goal. The fact he's equalled the all time assist record is being celebrated. Context matters
 
Could’ve had maybe 5 assists today if our forwards knew how to finish their chances.
