Do Everton have a really shallow squad, or are they just taking the Cup seriously? Seems a bit risky playing all of Digne, Allan, James, DCL and Richarlison.
Playing mid week and weekend is standard for good teams, who play in Europe. Experienced coach like Ancelotti would be able to prepare players to play like this.

Probably thinks it's a lack match sharpness and not fatigue
So when looking across the board, other managers, even the decorated experienced ones keeping playing players into match sharpness/ form. What does it tell about our situation? Are we tired/burned out that require rest? Or lack match sharpness? If so why not doing similar to others?

I hate the league cup. Always have. Please kill it off. Waste of everyone's time.

He said we have only 13 players available before Leicester, Laporte, Bernardo and Zinchenko back but the latter not fit to play. Should have played the kids and forgot about the cup

Ferran Torres been very good tonight, better from the left than the right. Problem is thats Raheem (who himself should have 3 o 4 today)

Oof, serious injuries or just knocks?
Richarlison looked pretty bad, maybe his ankle and Allan with a muscle injury. Big miss if they're out though. Hopefully the international break will come at the right time as we will need both for the derby.

Muscle injury shouldn't be too long out but not good news for Richarlison, that'd be a big blow for your team.

Forget your derby. I need DCL and James for my fantasy team and the presence of Richarlison and Allan matter to how well the DCL and James do.

We haven't even scored at Goodison in the last three derbies at your place. Big game for sure and Ancelotti has had the better of Klopp at times.

Looks like Shaqiri is off.
Klopp trying the Ole tactic of playing the captain in every game possible I see. Salah pick is strange too. Normally he bogs these competitions off, so this just makes me think he’s going for the quadruple with his deeper squad this season.

Liverpool to throw this competition in 3...2...1...
Although last time they still somehow beat Arsenal, but let`s see.

Shows why it was a travesty that Fulham went up instead of Brentford
That’s the danger of the play offs. They bottled it unfortunately then suffered with the pressure in the final. As you say though they should have went up. Fulham will be fodder this year.

Looks like it. Really can’t understand it, I still think he’s one of our best squad players and offers another option.we don’t have many left footed players and one who can score a decent free kick like him.

We don't do the play offs unfortunately - 9 times and 9 failures, it really is automatics or bust for us.
