Carabao Cup 2026: Semi-Finals

City’s second half performances have been bad lately

If they weren’t offside, and Elanga doesn’t miss the sitter, my post would mean a lot more.

How does a corner go all the way back to the goalkeeper from city

Ah come on. It was only a cup semi-final with a just about guaranteed win from it...

That's good for us, City and Arse with an extra game each in March. We only need Arsenal to get tired and lose one match, draw the next, and if we can keep winning, suddenly we're not so far away. City would need to continue their patchy form of course.

No point being owt but pointlessly over-optimistic, is there.

2nd half of the season

I just read that Arsenal haven’t won a trophy for nearly 6 years. What the feck? I suppose this should be their time to break that given City are not great anymore. And the PL title is theirs to lose too.

I'm 95% sure Arsenal will win it but they're still only one loss away from letting City have it in their hands. Arsenal need a decent gap before that game in the Emptihad

Not even reached a final in that time I think

City are probably the only team at the moment that would give Arsenal trouble in a final so it should be a good game. Both teams will be desperate to win it so I'd expect full strength sides on show.

The only team? Not even the only team to beat them on their own turf this season? :smirk:

Not sure how true this is, but I think we might have the potential to play City 4 times in the space of 5 weeks or something. Obviously the League Cup final in March, and the Premier League game in April, but I think there's a scenario in which we could meet in the Champions League quarters if both get through the Round of 16.

Could even throw an FA Cup game in there as well.
