I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench in next few games. I doubt his injury was even genuine, one of those convenient ones that seem to occur when a player is involved in a transfer.

I missed when he was introduced to the crowd, but when they panned to him in the stand, there were crutches behind him?

As an aside, I was able to get red crutches when I broke my ankle, United always have the standard grey ones. Opportunity missed or we are just skint?

Given we have so many injuries, can’t we get some coloured crutches, and get a sponsor on them as well for a few quid.

I agree. Usually a new employee gets a month to get settled and used to the work environment. I think that he will be itching to make his first appearance.

When he was injured a month ago, Athletic said he is expected to miss 3-4 weeks and that the injury 'isn't serious'. Maybe he just needs to get up to speed; I'm guessing his pre season wasn't the best one.

I think he'll probably take a while to get back to his best. His form clearly wasn't the best even though there were encouraging signs at the end of last season. Luckily for us it's Mainoo +1 at the minute and Santos and Tielemans will both be hungry to play as much as possible and Mount is Mount, he'll get minutes the odd time he's fit. Im hoping by the Christmas period he's flying it again. I think in his best form himself and Mainoo are in our best 11

I can see him having to cover for all of that unathletic defence and it's just too much to expect from one player.

I’ve heard rumours saying he could be back as soon as Brighton but I doubt it. Looking like Fulham could be the one where he gets some minutes from the bench.
