Is his appointment a rare example of an undisputed good decision by Amorim?
We currently have the joint highest number of set piece goals as the “we only score from set pieces” league leaders, with 10 set piece goals (excluding penalties). Defensive set pieces not turned the corner yet (I’m assuming, haven’t looked at stats?) but they obviously won’t have been helped by the eejits we’ve had in goal up until very recently.
Considering how diabolical our record was over the couple of seasons leading up this one I’d say sacking off Georgoson to replace him with this dude has been a great idea.
