Pretty sure the 350k is with CL money.
We simply can't be that dumb.

Its fans trying to always push for the negative spin...

The clauses are generally 25% cut when you dont get CL and 25% back when they get CL..

So its not like he stays on the wage and gets extra money if we get CL and doesn't get cut if we miss out.

There are possibly 2 scenarios - Where he is on 350k regardless of CL or not or he gets the cuts and bonus depending on if we get CL

Not sure what that means as a response to my post tbh

Yes, so United agrees on a contract of say 200k per week and United insist on a clause that says "in case of missing out on CL, the wages are cut down by 25%" which means in our example it goes down to 150k per week. Correct? If a player insists of getting 200k per week, then United would have to agree on something like 267k per week (because 75% would be around 200k). Do I understand you correctly? That would be my understanding of those things as well.

I responded to a post that sounded as if there would be a possibility that Casemiro would get even more than the reported wages in case of CL entry. Which I doubt.

I agree with you... the first comment was because of the poster who thought he would be on 500k... when in reality he wont.

Your calculations is how I see understand it to be as well.

Ah ok. Got it. Have to admit, I am a little slow today, even the calculations, I needed to involve ChatGPT. And then fend him off because it wanted to help me with phrasing the actual contract

He could be on 500k a week next season. Just found out he gets like a 25% pay rise if we get back into the CL. No wonder he’s playing like a boss on European nights.
33%.

He took a standard 25% cut when we didn’t qualify so to get back to that precious level is a 33.3*% increase.

The fans that keep mentioning the 25% thing and all of these dumb reasons why getting CL would somehow be negative are not worth listening to. Not a single person within the club who has any sort of knowledge about the internal workings would believe no CL would be positive in the slightest. Losing out on CL is more likely to see a slippery slope to not getting back to that level rather than miraculously turning us into a team capable of reaching top 4.

Some of the takes I see here nowadays from not getting CL being positive to Kobbie and Garna should be sold really just makes me wonder why I still read some of the nonsense here.

It is a discussion forum after all. If opinions and takes you don't agree with are a problem for you, then you should consider walking away before you start venting your frustration by labeling stuff as nonsense.

There are enough arguments to be made for all the things you mentioned, whether you agree with them or not, doesn't make them right or wrong. It is just opinions. Each one just as worthless as the next.

He is still finished but he's proving to be a specialist player in the more cautious, less frenetic ties against the second tier of Europe.

He can't hang in doped up world of PL pressing demons which is understandable for a 33 year old but we just need to hope he has one almighty performance left in him against Spurs and then we will part on a high.

The best football of his Manchester United career? He either haven't watched him in his first months with us (that were genuinely world class; up until the League Cup final or thereabouts) or he vastly overrates Casemiro's form of late. He's still a fundamentally flawed player at the moment but in the right system and, more importantly, against the right type of opponent his quality can shine through. But when he first came in, he was a monster, covering insane amount of ground and being a more-or-less perfect all-rounder (it didn't last very long but when he was in top form, it was so impressive).

Yes, this is a better description. He deserves his place in today’s eleven on merit, but he still lacks pace and stamina to cover crucial yards if paired with Bruno, Mainoo or Eriksen, and still makes for a limited duo when playing out from the back when paired with Ugarte. Kudos for his come back though, but it is what it is.

Lots of you wanted him out few months ago. Guy is a winner and a big game player. In this knockout stage he is best player ( Bruno not included :))

He looked out of his depth until Everton away, and he even started that match horribly until his assist to Ronaldo. But agree on the rest, he looked cooked after the league cup and Palace red.

He is low key freakishly good in the air. Or is it freakishly effective in how he reads the game and flight of the ball, he just seems to just know instinctively where to be on crosses. Hojlund should be working with him instead of striker coaches.

The way he has turned it around this season is amazing. Deserves all the praise and genuinely hope that it can last the next season.

And then we can move him on and replace. Because we need players in others positions first.

I don't think it's low key. Since he's been here he has scored a lot of headed goals for us. Also is one of our best aerial defensive players.

What a player. And we ALL had written him off, admit it!

I didn't. Most of the people are easily affected by co-comentators and pundits like Carragher, Redknapp, Neville and think the likes of Casemiro is finished the moment they make a mistake.

We should've protected him more in midfield by putting a player who'll do the dirty work but we did the exact opposite and hung him out to dry, especially ten Hag. But he's still showing that he's class and it's not a surprise as form is temporary class is permanent.

Yes, his numbers are ridiculous aerially, and it is to the point were every time a corner is coming in I expect him to be on the end of it. I think his core strength must play a part, just controls his area really well and bumps people off giving him the opportunity to get solid contact.
