I don't know what he was doing positionally at 2-0 and 2-1, but Carrick should also have encouraged the midfield to remain more compact from the start of the half.

United didn't really properly get in to a decent shape again until 2-2.

Annoyed me today. Yes, he’s scored a lot of goals this season, but nearly all of them have been from set-pieces. No idea why he was running forward so much and leaving us exposed.
The downside of having a vibes manager.

Players doing whatever they want instead of following logical instruction.

One more game left at Old Trafford. Would be great if he scored his 10th game of the season in that one. Like an ideal way to say goodbye to OT crowd.

A bit off it today, but still made significant contributions on and off the ball. His time was too short at OT and we won nothing with Casemiro, but if there was ever a case for an honorable mention for United legend it would be Casemiro. That he had two clowns as managers prior to Carrick is a real shame.

He has been great this season, I think that giving him another year on a reduced salery would be better for us than spending big on a replacement

Words cannot how much I like this guy, seems genuinely one of the nicest people. Will miss him.

I have something bordering on a man-crush on this guy. There's been ups and downs for him personally and for the team during his time here, but I would never question his professionalism, dedication, leadership or love for the club. Great example to have had in the squad, and he's also a top player. I definitely had the wrong idea about the guy before he came here - thought of him more as a pure defensive midfielder, but his skillset is much broader.

It's sad to see him go, but I appreciate everything he's contributed with. He was central to the 3rd place and League Cup under Ten Hag, and now central to our return to CL football. Respect that he wants to go out on a high as well.

What does he mean ‘go to a high level’?

Does that mean he’s staying in one of the big leagues?

What a beautiful exit for Casemiro today. This is why I love this club. So much emotion and respect by the fans in the stadium. Goosebumps.

Two very good seasons, was instrumental in getting us top 4 and was fantastic in the Europa league last year. We’ll remember him very fondly.

We’ve had far too many players over the years on ridiculous wages who didn’t put in 1/10th of the shift Casemiro did week in week out. His professionalism never dropped despite being hung out to dry by Ten Hag’s tactics. He’s a tremendous footballer, and has been so pivotal for us this season that I’m concerned for how we replace him next year. Enjoy your next chapter, Case.

Unreal how much Casemiro has meant to this club over his four years. He will be forever remembered as at least a United great, if just short of legend for many.

Among other things, I hope he acquits himself better in his post-playing career than some of the United legends have.

Wouldn’t surprise me given it’s a dead rubber if we let him go out on the back of a win and a standing ovation at Old Trafford and he doesn’t play Sunday.

Either way, a very good season from him and someone who came in and gave it everything during his time here. Best of luck to him.

I think this is one of the things that makes him so loved among the fanbase. He really gave his all and put his heart 100% into it, despite already having achieved everything at Madrid. We've seen far too many footballers go the other way after making those kind of big money moves. Love him. His family seem delightful too.

Shame. Was looking forward to him totally abandoning midfield and goal hanging against Brighton to get one last goal

Bit disappointing for the away fans.

I want us to break the 70pts this season and statistically we cant win without him. He is contracted until the end of the season so why just take off now.

Only just picked up on not being included for Brighton.
Makes sense really, had the huge send off at home last time out. Would feel very much after the Lord major's show.

Shame for Bruno though as a lot of his assists have been putting it on Casemiro's head.

I think it's a bit ridiculous that he won't be used at all tomorrow. If he played and scored he'd be the fourth United player to hit double digits in the league, which would be pretty neat.

Just saw a farewell dinner for cas on YouTube video. I will miss him so much. He arrived with wife and kids, all dressed in Utd shirts. I was so moved. Another thing that grabbed my attention was Bruno signing shirts for a few people at a private farewell dinner. What a class act he is.

Wish we had another year of him. Farewell sweet prince.

Best midfielder we've had since...... I don't know, but it's an open question. I'd say Keane but people would not like that.
