Same applies to Frenkie.

If they were desperate enough to get it done and were willing to throw an extra £20m to Barca and give De Jong eye-watering money, they'd get it done this week.

They just won't. Obviously.
I thought we were slowly trying to sort out our ridiculous wage bill? I think we were all happy with our new methods until we realised just how crap the team is. Now it's panic mode and "just pay him 500k a week!!!"

Anyway the chances of this happening are almost zero but my my, imagine landing both him and de jong!
We'd immediately go from having one of the worst midfields in the entire league to a genuinely world class one capable of winning it:drool:

Yeah, why not. We still gonna get Frenkie so the only missing piece is de Bruyne....

Either contract renewal time or their coaches have seen his peak is ending (like Varane...?)

This has me almost as excited as Falcao did, not to mention Di Maria and Varane.

Heck, he might be right up there with Sanchez as a sure thing! Or what about Schweinsteiger—what a coup that was.

(These kinds of signings rarely work out for us, do they? Can only hope we’ve learned, and moved on.)

Well I guess if they are not able to sign anyone they can just as well link us to the top playes.

So lets keep the rumors of de Jong and now Casemiro + maybe include a few more like Jan Oblak in exchange for de Gea and Antony for Rashford.

At least this way it will become a bit more amusing to read.

I am beginning to think we will only sign two more plays (Rabiot and another desperation buy maybe next week).

I actually thought this transfer window was going to be different. Apparently that was an error on my side.

Guess the next is that we will not win the PL this year either. I might be wrong about that too :-)

She’ll be 70 in 14 years
14 years is a long time  There’s a big difference between 56 and 70. But she is getting old tbf.
I guess I was more imagining her how she looked in X-Men and Catwoman:)

So how's Man united Varane? Well I got benched for a slab head that cant play football. Your competition is McFred so you'll end up on the bench. So how about you Ronaldo? 'Oh fk off'

I know, I wasn't insinuating that you did. I'm saying the general fanbase is calling for us to "just pay whatever" but we were all happy with reducing the wage bill a few months ago.

Sorry if that was unclear, it was in response with your point about us being able to offer eye-watering money to FDJ.

Could hold a fecking World Cup between all the players we're linked to in any given summer.

Obviously nothing in this. Real have no reason to sell, and we are a banter club to a multiple UCL winner at the moment.

Hahaha imagine trying to convince Casemiro to leave last year and probably next years CL winners to come fight for 8th.

Is Tchouameni taking his place in the starting XI at Real?

If so, they might be willing to cash in. I doubt he'd be eager to join us though.

So are we indeed signing Casemiro? Would be a huge upgrade if true

Actually with Tchouameni & Camavinga both eyeing that DM spot (although Camavinga will probably play a bit further up) I wouldn't be surprised if Real would let Casemiro go. They can be quite brutal in letting players go when they feel like they're already on the brink of decline (and Casemiro's playing style is heavily reliant on his physique) but still retain ~peak monetary value. So if United were to offer some stupid sum...

Why would Casemiro want to go to us is another question though.
