Give us Porto or Zenit please. Absolute no to Bayern and Sevilla. I can't take two more bloody games vs Sevilla and Bayern might smash us.
Juventus and Real would be fun and I can see us beating them in one of the games at least.
PSG we have the history of beating with Ole, but I fancy them to want revenge for that night.

My dream group right now would be.

Porto
Lokomotiv Moskow
Molde

Nightmare
Bayern
Inter
Krasnodar

What I want:
Porto (shorter trip than Zenit)
United
Brugge (Easy)
Molde (simply because it’d be lovely for Ole, no idea if they’re any good. They’re probably poo)

What we’ll get:
Real
United
Inter
Gladbach

Good OP @Samid

I'd love Ajax from pot two. I don't think we've played them for years. Nothing is really jumping out from pot 3/4 but I'd rather avoid Leipzig.

I would love that second one.

We are better against better teams.

I see your point and I also know that playing in the CL is to play against those types of teams. But, those guys have quality and Real and Inter don’t stupidly expose themselves like a PSG, City, Barca or Leipzig, which we need to counter. Whereas with the first draw, we’ll just have the far better players. No player from any of those three bar Telles (hopefully it’s completely none by October 6) gets into our team. Easy qualification.

They've had relegation form for the past couple of months. Only managed 3-3 in the home leg, can't see them winning tonight.

Ferencvaros beat Celtic too earlier on tbf. They’re probably poo also though, so them if not Molde.

It's actually better to be pot 2 for an English club.

Chelsea, United and City have a 4/7 chance of avoiding a big gun while Liverpool only have a 2/5 chance.

If our teams from pot 3 and 4 are kind I wouldn't actually mind drawing Bayern in the group, mainly because it means we should still have enough to qualify and would avoid them in the R016.

So your team made it into the CL, just for you to hope for the experience to be as EL-like as possible. :(

I was always like that even when we had our best ever team in 2008. Doddle through the groups so it doesn’t really compromise the league campaign, before getting real challenges and hopefully winning in the knockouts. Despite recently winning the CL and being full of confidence, I loved getting Aalborg, Villareal and Celtic in the 2008-09 groups. It allowed us to do better in the league.

Can we finally have a draw without some 10 hour trip to Eastern Europe.

Did that draw thing.

Real, United, Lazio and Marseille
Juve, City, Olympiakos, Basakeshir -
Liverpool, Barca, Krasnador, Rennes
Porto, Chelsea, Salzburg Ferencvaros

Tricky group for United, the rest should pretty much coast through. Liverpool and Chelsea winning their groups.

I want a big team but not Bayern Munich. They would slap us stupid.

Porto, Atalanta, and Ferencváros would be my dream draw. Porto are the easiest from pot 1 along with Zenit and they're a shorter travel, Atalanta are the most fun team in the competition and United coming to Budapest would be nice even if we can't have people in the stadium.

Qualifiers all done.

Group of death would be Bayern, Inter and a long trip to Moscow or Turkey.

Best draw would be Porto, Lazio and Ferencváros.

I can't resist using the draw simulator for these each season.

https://draw.inker.one/#/cl/gs

I got us in Group A:

Porto
Man Utd
Salzburg
Monchengladbach
Got this for Chelsea and United. You lot probably couldn't handpick a better group, and I'd reasonably satisfied with our group.

Group G
Porto
Man United
Krasnodar
Rennes

Group H
Real Madrid
Chelsea
Salzburg
Mönchengladbach

I'd like Atletico, the only pot 2 club we haven't played recently. Pot 3 and 4 don't matter much.

Not arsed who we get from pot 1 as long as we avoid Inter, Atalanta and Leipzig from pot 3 we should be fine.

I would laugh if we ended up getting Sevilla, Olympiakos and Midtjylland. Ghosts of recent seasons past!
