Not sure it’d be a wise move to throw Kane in biggest match of Spurs history after a lengthy lay off. He’d be rusty as feck and there’s no competitive match between next Sunday and CL Final. It's a one-off game, in which anything can happen.
Given their league form Liverpool are favourites, but Spurs will hopefully have Kane back and with him in the team we will always have a decent chance.
True. But for either team to have reached the final is itself a remarkable achievement. One of the managers is gonna be called a big time bottler and fraud after this game no matter what happens
Agreed. And whilst I don't agree with the initial statement it's how it is nowadaysTrue. But for either team to have reached the final is itself a remarkable achievement.
Liverpool are 1/2, Spurs 6/4If Spurs are full strength I give them about a 40% chance of winning, which isn't bad odds.
Son - Kane - Moura is an attack that could cause liverpool a lot of problems. Only issues for Spurs imo are Trippier being absolutely gash and Wanyama playing like he's 50.
Wonder what the odds were at half-time in both games?Liverpool are 1/2, Spurs 6/4
Kane got injuredWhat “luck” did they have exactly?
Well, you could have gotten 65/1 on Tuesday afternoon for an-all English final...Wonder what the odds were at half-time in both games?
Bloody hell. How did I miss that? Did you get some?Well, you could have gotten 65/1 on Tuesday afternoon for an-all English final...
I don't know. Chelsea fans really hate Liverpool.Liverpool. All the London clubs wants Liverpool.
Yeah would be stupid to rush him, he's dreadful whenever not fully fit.Not sure it’d be a wise move to throw Kane in biggest match of Spurs history after a lengthy lay off. He’d be rusty as feck and there’s no competitive match between next Sunday and CL Final.
The current system works, it’s better to keep him on bench and bring him on if needed.
When the final losing specialist force comes up against the irresistible bottlers, the outcome is phenomenally immeasurable.Battle of the bottlers
It's freaking unimaginableWhen the final losing specialist force comes up against the irresistible bottlers, the outcome is phenomenally immeasurable.
The correct assessment. You are the favourites, but it's a one-off game and with Kane likely back who knows.I fancied our chances vs Ajax. Spurs not so much. They'll be on a high after that comeback, and they are always tricky for us to play against. We're probably bookies favourites, but I don't feel confident like I would've, if we were facing Ajax.
To be fair you’d have struggled to predict this outcome a week ago!Just two years ago this would have been a ridiculous final to predict. Even at the start of the season you certainly wouldn't have guessed Spurs to make the final, fair enough Liverpool. They were both close to going out of the group stages as well.
No, I wish. Thought Barca - Ajax were in the final. Should have been my insurance policyBloody hell. How did I miss that? Did you get some?
I had a bet on Spurs to qualify pre game and they were 5/2. Would imagine they'd have been over 20/1 at half time so add in Liverpool being around that price at kick off last night so nice double for the punters who constantly bet on football miracles.Wonder what the odds were at half-time in both games?
Arsenal never really convinced in europe under Wenger and just became a punchbag in his last years for Barca and Bayern Munich in the knock outs. The teams Arsenal have had and the success they had from 1997-2004 and (hopefully) Spurs are the first North London team to lift ol' big ears? That would be quite hilarious.
Yeah, Arsenal would barely get through the groups in those days when they were thoroughly excellent. I remember that great Valencia side knocking them out twice - once in the group, once in the quarters. Felt Arsenal's best UCL runs were past their best in 2006 and 2008 were we toyed with themArsenal never really convinced in europe under Wenger and just became a punchbag in his last years for Barca and Bayern Munich in the knock outs.
Their run to final in 2006 final was pretty good though before they ran into a very strong Barca team. Even then they had chances to win it. That was their year and haven't come close since.
My Mother follows them and she's quickly off to renew her passport and go out of this country for three months if Spurs win it.
