Champions League Matchday 4 | 04/11/25 - 05/11/25

feck yes. Love beating PSG, but beating them in this game feels even better.

The worst Madrid team I’ve seen in a very long time that. Vini Jr captain at the end says all you want to know about that team. Don’t kid yourselves you Scouse bastards you weren’t great either.

I mean, you only have to go back to last season to find a worse RM-side, injuries in defense didnt help, but still.

First half from Bayern was phenomenal. Best football this season so far.

First half was some of the best we've played. Should have been 4-0 up by halftime. Second half really showed me how we can turtle down and eek out a difficult win.

Back on track are Liverpool. The losses were fun. Back to United drawing and losing while Liverpool rack up a great run and will do the treble this season. City are in for a spanking.

Real have such an immensely unlikable team. They also manage to somehow always manage to be shit to look at.

The first half was some of the craziest football I've ever seen position wise. Upamecano RW, Latimer ST, Kane CB  Just mad how not only did they have so much flexibility but also how they didn't look out of place in those positions.

Upamecano played RW better than Olisie did at times. Absolute monsters performance, that too in a big game so hopefully he gets more credit because he's been great then last couple of seasons.

Arsenal are just very good defensively and teally well organized with good sized defenders

The second half of yours impressed me more, really. To be able to change up your game like that and really hunker down, claw onto the lead and only receive one goal, against PSG, all with a man down? When the defense was always the more questionable part of Bayern's? Chapeau.

To be honest I really didnt think we could defend this till the end because we are not used to this style of football at all, but we did it.

What a great win

Are you for real? The ball is already 1m away, he looks at Kimmichs head and than kicks it.

He looks down at Kimmich a split second before hitting him, at the very least he doesn't try at all to prevent it.

It's always unfair to judge in slow motion, it looks worse then. I didn't think it was worth a red card at the time.

Liverpool win. But slot interview is really weird. He seems to have a large chip on his shoulder. Or maybe its just cause hes Dutch. Again goes to utds style etc. And has a little giggle about wazza managing career. Seemed salty

I didn't see the interview - are you saying he's still waxing on about United? after beating Real Madrid at home?!

Asked about the last two wins and turning it around, then said something like its hard to say stand beside someone from man utd but real and villa didnt go low block and long ball. More to it but that's the basic pt. Vvd was on before him and wazza and vvd had a little discussion and vvd mentioned something about suggestion he signed contract and dropped off since according to wazza

Not being funny mate. Is English your 1st language?

"I tell the players, if there's hype don't believe it, you're not that good" - Kompany in the post match presser right now :P

I dont know if its my red tinted glasses but i felt the ref didnt give us anything today. Every small contact against a PSG player was whistled a foul, we got a (imo soft) red and 2 or 3 soft yellow cards, yet PSG players could commit many tactical fouls without being booked.

Even reddit is agreeing with you for the most part, so it's not just our glasses. The kick to Kimmich head, a red that could easily be a yellow, minor tackles being given as freekicks and nothing when it happened to us. One of the worst refs I've ever seen.

"Turtle down" if that is the phrase you meant to write, what does it mean? Get your head down and get on with it? I'm genuinely interested.

I think that red was pretty soft. That red completely changed the course of the game. I thought that Bayern completely demolished PSG in the first half and PSG was really lucky to not concede a couple of more goals.

PSG really didn't deserve the potential draw. If you're a Bayern fan, you should be very proud of that first half performance, because my god it was astounding.

Google "Turtle formation"

How can UEFA assign a red, who is suspended in his country for poor refereeing and dubious decision? That's a scandal.
Also VAR only reacted after it became clear that Hakimi was injured, which is irrelevant for the judgement whether it's a reckless challenge (red card) or not.
The foul was stupid and unnecessary but the referee had a clear view and gave a yellow card. The VAR had no reason to intervene.
Ruiz kick to Kimmich's head is a clear red card.

This is a bigger issue. That referee has been demoted twice in Italy, but still deemed worthy of taking one of the biggest CL games between two high profile clubs.

Diaz, I think he's stupid, for me that's a red card, two feet off the ground, from behind and kind of traps the players ankle with a scissor motion. It's a red card all day long for a dumb tackle.

The non red for the kick to the head was a disgrace, he clearly looks down and you can see by his foot movement it was clearly intentional.
