Leipzig winning had made absolutely no difference to us qualifying compared to them drawing. Just means a point for us tonight will only qualify us rather than win us the group.

What a timing for Sørloth to end his draught and score his first goal for Leipzig.

Damn Damn

a draw didn’t change much for us anyway, we’d still need a point

Yeah. Didn’t make a massive difference to our requirements

Did it matter if they won or drew? They would need a win either way or am I wrong?

These lot will finish on 3 points. And they got it from us.

Crazy second half. Not in terms of quality, mind you. Both teams hilariously bad

Are Rennes really bad? If so, Camavinga being a regular suddenly becomes less impressive.

That's what arrogance and not concentrating does for you. It was a wake up call.
Maybe Istanbul are a decent team? It’s arrogant to think anyone can simply turnover the Champions of Turkey and a legitimate CL team without playing well.

anyway, this was one of the groups of death

A draw would've been great for us. It would've meant a draw against PSG secured top spot today.

Upamecano and Konate didnt look particularly great tonight in that match. Looked a pretty average defence. In attack Angelino had some flashy passes and a touch or two and Mukiele put in 2 or 3 nice first time balls that looked likely to end in a goal. So the fullbacks in attack were probably the most impressive part of the defence tonight

Olmo was at the half line and would have had an open goal as Istanbuls keeper was upfront for the corner.
No, just no. Time was already up. You catch the ball, go to ground, take as much time as possible to set up the goal kick and happily await the ref's whistle when the ball is in the air.

I thought both are fine. Istanbul scored with three brilliant goals and only had a couple more good chances (Ba and the angle open goal). Can't blame them for those three strikes, even the foul for the free kick by Konate was harsh.

That 92nd minute winner for RB Leipzig could prove to be crucial, hopefully in the terms of knocking PSG out of the CL and not against United.

I didnt say they were to blame. But I didnt see any noteworthy defending from them

United so sloppy in their play so far. High error count under little pressure on many occasions. Need to waken up quickly!

Not sure what United's plan tonight was but we're going to be slaughtered if we don't get our act together.
