Oh right. So Marco Rose is the German Ole then? :D
I mean at the moment you can still bring up "excuses" such as the short and disrupted preseason, the many injures, the fact that he just took over and some issues with the squad. But if the football is the same in a couple of months he shouldn't survive the season.

We've been second best in this half. Midfield getting bypassed too often.

Liverpool's high press really does leave their full backs exposed. We should play Lindelof on Sunday to launch those long diagonals to Rashford/Greenwood.

Liverpool’s defence is definitely looking like a rabbit in headlights right now

Calm it down ffs

No idea how they scored that. Literally 6 or 7 Liverpool players were back there and little munchkin man pops up and scores. Both Atletico goals have had a touch of fortune.
No more so than Liverpools.

Mind has slowed down because his knees have slowed him down. Doesn't trust his legs anymore so he's probably having to pick his side and commit whereas normally he'd just go whichever way the striker was turning. So sad to see. :(
They say even though you're back playing it takes a long time to get fully back to your best after that.

Long balls is the way to take on this Liverpool team. Brentford and now Atletico showing they are so vulnerable. Hope ole is watching this. But he will still try and play from the back!

Dortmund are doing very well points wise, especially considering their extreme injury crisis. But the football isn't good. They just live off individual quality at the moment and that's simply not enough when you have a dominant, confident in-form team like Ajax as an opponent.
What 'extreme injury crisis'?

We put these McDonald’s kits on and defend like McDonald’s employees. Happened at Brentford too

He didn't have to move, if he'd stayed where he was the ball would have rolled straight to him.
Shit goal to concede all round though.

Very frustrating, we should be winning by 2 goals now or something but we miss all our chances and it's still 0-0.

It’s impressive how after absolutely dominating the first 20 minutes and going ahead 2-0, I still feel like we’re lucky to get to half time with 2-2.

It's definitely the yellow kit. Only logical explanation.

If you can play through Liverpools pressing they are there for the taking.
Not many teams are that well-drilled and final-third decisions/finishing are lacking in them.

They are lucky in this aspect. Not many teams are able to punish them often.

it's a joy watching Atletico bully pool all over the park. They should be ahead, and they will be. 4-2 I reckon.

McSauce is essential v this lot on the weekend, get stuck in and unsettle them.

Then the caretaker performs and gets the full time position…
I said last time we should have waited till the summer to decide on Ole.

But yeah we need a new manager for the remainder of the season so a caretaker will be needed if a permanent appointment isn't available

Horrible officiating, Witsel should have been off and Ajax should have had a pen. Also Blind's challenge was very questionnable.

The one where Akanji is about the only player among the extended starters, who didn't have fitness problems yet?
Fitness problems? Hummels had a decent amount of time to return from injury early in the season.

They midfield and attack is mostly fully fit as well. You can't always have your whole squad fully fit. The either system has been poor with that stupid diamond formation.

Every play Ajax play the ball wide, Dortmunds midfield has to stretch to reach them, then an Ajax midfield runs into the middle unmarked to get a shot.
