Champions League - Quarter Finals - 7/4, 8/4, 14/4, 15/4

Crazy game, could have been 3-6 in the end. Diaz missing two simple balls.

Can’t believe some of you had high hopes of Sporting knocking out Arsenal.

Arsenals had very kind draws across most/all competitions this season.
I’d say sporting are a bit better than Southampton

Clear pen there at the end against Olise, pretty crazy how that's not even looked at. Circumstances 100% play a role there where the ref and VAR don't want to escalate things in front of a home crowd when Real are losing anyway.
Diaz terrible on the counters, messed up so many opportunities.

Dreadful from Michael Oliver and VAR not to award Bayern a pen at the end. Stonewall.

All officials are terrified of Real Madrid.

Bayern PSG semi (hopefully) should be something to watch.

On the flip side we need Barca to go through as Arsenal-Atletico would be a stinker.

Of course Real got their usual referee gift. Stonewall penalty on Olise Anna VAR not even looking at it.

Outplayed Real in their own penalty box numerous times. Can't really take Mbappe and Vini completely out of the game, as much as an Asshat the latter may be, he can play some football.
Neuer obviously threw away his passport and decided he was 26 again.
I'm not very worried about the 2nd leg.

Perfect game, 10/10

With Arsenal's win at Sporting, the English Premier League has clinched a fifth Champions League spot for 2026-27

Brilliant game of football. Neuer winding back the years, Bayern could regret those wasted chances.

Clear penalty at the end for Olise, Oliver bottled that one.

It just had to stop didn't it. The amount of time the past decade you outplay them and somehow lose was getting ridiculous. They had to eventually lose to you. I actually think you will put 3 or 4 past them next week. The home advantage has been a huge part of their miraculous recoveries.

That looked like penalty on Olise in last seconds. 3-1 would've been big advantage before game in Munich. 2-1 still is, but it's not over obviously. Sporting weren't going to knock out Arsenal even if they went at Emirates with 0-0, not even if they won 1-0 I think.

Hopefully Barca can beat Atletico as they play some nice football, at least they did last season.

At the very least that should have been a penalty check on that scene with OIise in the end. Just doing nothing at all is ridiculous.

Perfect game, 10/10
I wouldn't quite go that far, he had a fair few distribution errors today. Defensively he was flawless though.

The pass with the hand? not really that bad, his mate was taking a siesta, you can't be perfect on every pass being a keeper either

Bayern - PSG and then Bayern - Barcelona final please. Would be the best games for the neutral. Also, I'm afraid if Arsenal make the final they could shithouse their way to a UCL title. Football can be cruel like that.

Not just that, there were also some kicks that went straight to Madrid players with no Bayern player even close. Not a lot of times, but still uncharacteristical mistakes for Neuer.

What, and commit lèse-majesté??? He should already be lashed for not giving us a penalty in the first half

That's what I meant to not be perfect in his delivery, yet still good. We can't expect a keeper to be as great as he was and also putting every ball in the feet of his mates, that's an 11/10 :p

It's very high standards of course, but it's standards Neuer himself has set and stuck to for years. I'm just using the yardstick he himself created!

The penalty could be called, but at the same time Olise went there like a flan, he should know better. In any case the game should have had more goals and Real it's still alive, yet they have lost their home advantage and for moemtns were quite overrun. Madrid on the other hand should know better that you can't play without a mid against a team like Bayern, yet they still survided:

PD: Bayern kept their wonderkid in the sideline, they might pull him out at home

Why do the all the close replays of Mbappe’s goal cut out before they show it hit the ground? Looked over from the normal angle but all the close up replays never show it.

Musiala played from the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he has still a long way to go until he reaches his top form again.

I've meant the new kid, Karl

yeap, Musiala looked rusty as hell

Yeah. In the meantime, you should give some minutes in this tie to our wonderkid, thank you very much ;)

Is he unfit/recovering from injury or just out of form? He certainly didn't look great tonight but unsure what his fitness situation is.
