Champion's League Semi Finals (with apostrophe)

Diaz and Olise were more interested in trying to run through the whole team themselves than playing the ball into the box where they've got the best CF in the world waiting for the ball

PSGs workrate was peak Barcelona bloodcheat levels

Can't support Arsenal but PSG are a horrible advert for modern football. Hope they both lose

Is PSG the best team ever or at least the most dominant ever if they win the CL twice in a row, as expected?

Felt like a few of the decisions not going their way (especially after that handball in particular), really threw them off.
That too. And as narrow as things turned out, that handball call from the first leg was very important. Sadly no two refs can seem to agree on what a handball is

That ref was special

Lucho getting bumped by a Paris player to the ground and getting a yellow for it kinda encapsulated it all!

Nuno Mendes should have received a second yellow, and how can you call a penalty on Paris the first leg and nothing on Neves?

PSG are so good, they just make the french league even more of a farce. What's the point of the other teams rocking up.

Well that's the thing, most of the other teams are not rocking up at all. Marseille has had the most comical season of the century.

Arsenal fans on here totally rattled about their over-celebrations last night. Great to see.

The comparison with PSG’s celebrations is pathetic. Ok, they weren’t at home so maybe they would’ve gone for it a bit more…but there’s no way the bigwigs at PSG would have played ‘Freed from Desire’ on loop at the final whistle

The ref doesn't follow the rules for the Davies handball in the first leg but follows it for the Neves handball.

After spending some time on the handball rules at HT because of the Neves situation, I'm now convinced the Davies one last week was a handball. Should never be a penalty though - we need a better punishment for such offences.

Saka says hi but if I speak I'm in trouble
  1. Yamal
  2. Mbappe
  3. Kvara
  4. Vini
  5. Olise
  6. Dembele
  7. Raphinha
  8. Doue
  9. Rodrygo
  10. Diaz
There's 10 who are all easily better than any in the prem. Obviously Mbappe and Dembele play more through the middle now, but both equally capable on the wing/even better in Mbappes case. Also have some like Nico Williams who would likely be the best winger in the league if he came here, but as it is is probably stalling at Bilbao. Barcola on the bench at PSG. And so on...

Superbly prepared tactics by Enrique and his staff. Completely neutralized Diaz and Olise. They forced them to receive the ball 40m from PSG's goal and then doubled them. Masterclass through and through.

And Living on a Prayer at half time

And in the end this decided the semi final. It's the one goal PSG scored more.
On top the clear second yellow Mendes escaped after the fourth (!) official intervened.

They just showed the Laimer "handball". It clearly wasn't handball

Bayern got screwed wow

Enrique completely schooled Kompany tonight

Set them up more compact and gave bayerns wide men hardly any space.

I think scoreline completely flatters Bayern as PSG were pretty dominant I thought

At least tonight’s ref understands the rules. I thought he was excellent all night. Didn’t take any shit and got every big call right.
The most important call to send off Mendes he got wrong. There was no handball from Laimer. Playing 10 men for over an hour, it would have been a complete different game.

I have to give a lot of credit to Enrique’s coaching staff. Their tactical scouting and preparation have been incredibly detailed. If you look back at the first leg, you can clearly see how well they identified ways to break down and expose Kompany’s attacking structure, mostly in transition moments and counterattacks( Thanks…they’re very clinical too).

The quality of Enrique’s staff is genuinely top level. A masterclass

PSG managed this leg of the tie very well. They were compact and clogged up the middle of the pitch and Bayern didn't really look like breaking them down.

Whenever Diaz won his duel with Zaire-Emery he quickly ran into traffic. For the most part Musiala was the only one who looked like he might be able to play through. Olise was totally ineffective.

PSG carried a threat throughout too. It was a disciplined performance but it wasn't hanging on for the end. They really strangled the game. Whatever happens against Arsenal, hard to feel like 9/10 they should win the European Cup. Arsenal will just be hoping that the final is the 1/10.

IMO, the final will be incredibly tight. Whoever concedes first will be at a massive disadvantage — and honestly, I’m looking more at Arsenal in that scenario. As—PSG have so many attacking combinations, whether it’s third man runs, ( or even) fourth man runs, or even more intricate movements, along with technically brilliant players who can really cause problems for Arsenal’s midfield and defensive unit( overall team)

The game is going to be extremely tactical and tense. Both teams are capable defensively and have an excellent overall work rate, so margins will be very small throughout the match. One goal could be enough for either team.

Bayern trying a poor impression of a ballers team, with 7 defensive players touching the ball like a brick and three creative players only playing for themselves instead of feeding their own centre forward in the box, has been an awkward view all night long.

not an undeserved overall success for PSG. Not the best of Bayerns matches this season, lacked a bit the sharpness and freshness. Defeated by a very good team and two bad referees. Best of luck to PSG to wipe the floor with some Arsenal in Budapest!

He made that call after advice from his assistant, who had a better view. And I’ve yet to see a replay where it doesn’t look as though the ball might have flicked off the Bayern player’s arm.

Every year it's the same. Better team gets through, Bayern fans complain about the referee.
All the decisions were correct today.
