Villa Ladies have been officially part of the Aston Villa setup since 1996 but have actually been around since 73 (when they were Solihull Ladies). It's worth remembering that it was only in 71 that the FA lifted its ban on girls/women using the grounds of FA affiliated clubs, so Solihull would have been one of the earliest women's clubs of the modern era. They've been in the WSL2/Championship since it was formed in 2014.
Villa Ladies came 9th (of ten teams) last year in WSL2.
