Lemmy has forsaken us....
Luckily most of our best are in long term prosperous loan deals currently. Will allow Conte some time to evaluate them.
Surely to hell Christensen gets a crack at breaking into the team next season, considering Terry, Zouma and Ivanovic, probably Musonda too, depending on attacking midfield moves. Maybe he stays at Betis a season longer, if they stay up?

Christensen loan is 2 years and we cant recall him.

Musonda should stay next year and continue developing in a stable environment with a manager who trusts him.

Ahhh, I thought Christensen was a one year loan. Agreed with you on Musonda, so far the Betis loan is working wonders, another full season would probably do him the power of good, rather than trying to get minutes behind Hazard, Pedro, Willian and co.

I think its a good decision to let him stay longer. If he is progressing well and getting games then its all good. He also speaks spanish and seems genuinely happy. The fans love him, he gets to play in a top league every week, its a great environment for him.

Aka and Musonda were both 15 when they joined Chelsea.
They may have agreed to sign at 15 but they can't have joined until 16 since its illegal to sign players from another country under the age of 16 unless the family moves to the country for non football reasons

Will probably never make it at Chelsea anyways?
So hard to judge now. If we keep hold of Hazard we'll again have 3-4 very good players for him to compete with. He won't play ahead of Hazard or Willian, surely, and Pedro has been much better recently. Then there's Kenedy.

Do you think he has a future in his 'new role' as a LB?

Hope not, because he's certainly not a defender. He's a winger who can play there if necessary.

Was a bit quieter this game. Made a lot of good runs and had some decent balls that opened up Granada. He was fouled every time he even went past a player though.

This means nothing for his potential success at Chelsea. We should know by now that the club will be more than happy to sell him for a 30+ mil. figure. We ditched a player previously just for him to become immediately Bundesliga player of the season. This Chelsea academy is a money making scheme more than anything else. And it works.

We ditched De Bruyne because Mourinho didn't want him. Any other manager and he would be playing for us now.

What a shame. Wasn't he one of the best dribblers in La Liga when he played for Betis?

Thought this would be a bump for his testimonial.

Abou Diaby vibes unfortunately.

I'm desperate for him to make it back. So sad to see what he's had to deal with. He seems to be a strong minded fella.

He'll come back eventually. His days with us are over though, Holland or Portugal would be a good move, or the championship

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
He played for the U23s the other day, his first game in over two years.

Even though he'll almost certainly never be a Chelsea first teamer, it would be great to see him have some sort of career.

Good news, let's hope he can string a few games together now!

He was ridiculous at youth level. Him and Boga together ran amok in nearly every game. His loan at Betis was probably the most productive for him. So sad what he's gone through.

I thought he looked really good at Betis as said in the title, incredible that loan was around 5 years ago now. Think he looked good somewhere else but then went to Celtic and struggled and injuries since.

Reminds me of Van Ginkel a bit who lost years of his career. Just hope they get the support they need from the game if the career just fizzles out as seems likely now.

We are really good with players when it comes to rehab. Most teams would have just dumped Van Ginkel but we extended his contract and helped him through everything.

Before that we had Sam Hutchinson who retired because of his knee and was starting coaching badges but was later re-signed after his knee got better and now plays championship football.

Musonda will need time but we have always helped him. We signed his brothers even though they weren’t good enough for the academy and I expect him to go one to have a career in Europe somewhere.
