Cheering for Liverpool in the Finals, solely because they are the lesser evil (and much as I hate to admit, I like Salah and Mane). Real winning will only embolden them to continue with their slimy tapping up of other stars, some of who may be ours (DDG). We have to keep sight of our goal to rebuild towards becoming one of Europe's best once more, and to do that, we need a core of at least 5-7 truly world class players. Madrid (and Barca) already have a built-in advantage on South American prospects thanks to the language and culture, and RM winning another one will only increase their drawing power EVEN further.

Liverpool winning it for the 6th time (la) doesn't hurt as much when you remember the gap between the two Manchester-based clubs and them plus the London trio.
No, just no.

This doesn't even make sense on a logical level. If Madrid lose then they don't buy De Gea, if they win then they do..? De Gea will leave soon enough anyway. My bet is that he has one more season with us, or two at most then leaves when Jose does.

I'd sacrifice a De Gea exit, an F.A Cup win and tattoo 'hala Madrid' on myself for a Madrid win.

Hope everyone who supported Liverpool are fecking happy. Now the nauseating scouse loving press are going to wax lyrical over the Dippers until the final. It’s going to be a non stop magical mystery tour into hell. The cringey 6 times la.. we’re European royalty etc is going to put me in a bad mood for months. I fecking hate Liverpool

I assume Salah is causing a lot of problems for Egyptian United supporters, or is it just you?

If Salah was from my country, I'd want him to do well in the national team and flop with Liverpool. Kinda like what the Argentinians do, but in reverse. Ain't that hard.:)
Yes right. He causes many problems for United supporters here. But I think the real United supporter don't want him to lift the trophy with Liverpool.

I will give my absolute to support Liverpool in this final..

Why? Ragnar Klavan, second ever Estonian footballer to actually reach the final of Champions League, first outfield player. Mart Poom was Arsenal's 3rd goalkeeper back in 2006, got the silver medal, but didn't play a minute in the final. Klavan has realistic chance to actually be involved with the game and it's HUGE HUGE HUGE thing for a such a small country as us. + Estonians are crazy about football, mostly English football, as I am. We, who grew up in the 90s, got to see 1 game every 2 weeks from Finnish national television YLE on Saturday 3pm games. That's where most of us fell in love with the league, the game, the teams.. United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds.. Most of the teams that are supported here.

To come out swinging, saying that if you support Liverpool you ain't a United fan, it's a farce. Yes, we all know the history, no thanks for the lessons.. But, there are so much more in play. I usually manage to see 1-3 games at Old Trafford every season, as business takes me to England and I do work with plenty of English people every day, most of them know the background and understand it.

It would be good for Champions League and football in general to have Liverpool win this also, it's getting pretty dull if one team dominates it such as Real Madrid, specially at a season like it's this year, they ain't even the second best team, they just somehow manage to crumble over the line.

If Liverpool winning the Champions League meant England won the next 10 World Cup's, I would still want Madrid to win.

Couldn't you just hope he scored but Liverpool still get battered? Don't get it.

I absolutely hate Madrid from the bottom of my heart. I hope they put 5 past Karius and embarrass the hell out of Klopp.

I'm sorry but you're not a United fan, just someone who happens to follow United in English football, if you had a real attachment no amount of Estonian players in that Liverpool squad would have made a difference to you.

Seriously? I mean I somewhat understand the national pride piece (Ireland only have 9 CL winners in our history and only 3 since the PL started) but even when Steve Finnan was playing in the final in 2005 there was no way i would "give my absolute to support Liverpool".

The CL is all the scousers have on United and they're potentially going to have twice as many wins by the end of the month and you're going to be happy about this. Crazy. Maybe Estonian Liverpool fans are a level headed bunch who like to engage in sensible debates but the lads I know who support Liverpool are absolute twats and I am dreading a long summer ahead if they win.

I just dont know how I feel about this final. . Both are my fecking kryptonite. . I dont know how I will handle this. .
How is it even up for debate? I honestly don't understand anyone who says they hate Madrid as much as Liverpool. If you've supported United all your life, Madrid don't even come close on the hate list.

I agree to this but as a football it is really hard not to really dislike Real Madrid.. Even Fergie called them a Virus ..

I really don't understand the hate that Real Madrid get on this thread.

They bought Ronaldo from us once. And we gave them Becks and Ruud when we didn't want them anymore.

I'm indifferent to any team that isn't City, Leeds or Liverpool. Arsenal at a stretch.

Supporting Liverpool because they have a player from your Country of origin is a pi*s-weak reason.

Unless Madrid absolutely bottle it, they should be putting at least 14 past that Liverpool defense.

The Liverpool defense has barely been tested so far, but on the rare occasion it has, they've been torn through.

But you can't agree with that statement if you think Real Madrid and Liverpool are on par with your detest. Madrid don't even give a shit that we exist and they certainly don't see us as a rival in any capacity at the moment, hating them is just jealousy for their success. Fergie might have called them a virus but you should have heard the stuff he said about Liverpool! They openly mock the Munich air disaster for gods sake.
