Decent passer and a solid set piece taker but not hugely threatening as a ball carrier and not particularly polished on the ball. Extremely active defensively and covers a lot of ground - which is currently badly lacking in our midfield without Caicedo:

Did Chelsea get Bakayoko from Monaco or somewhere else?
I remember watching him in that fantastic Monaco team in 16/17 in big CL game and thinking he can get about the pitch....but he can't really pass under pressure. Chelsea paid huge fee for him and realised that after about five games and he quickly fell out of favour.
Don't really know much about Camera but they can ease him in just playing once a week.
Actually heard this morning Chelsea were in for Manu Kone. That would've elevated them further as he had an excellent World Cup for France.

Yeah I would have preferred Kone as well - but he has been worrying injury-prone and it sounds like Roma were reluctant to sell (makes sense given how well they've started in Serie A)
Having two CM's that can't make key passes is should be worrying Chelsea fans. If you look at the chart you would be thinking Chelsea have brought Caicedo's back up rather than someone to replace Fernandez.
True - though that's what the double 10s are for in large part. And "can't" is a bit strong; it's not like they're as bad at key passes as Enzo is at defending.
I would generally agree though that probably Kamara and Caicedo won't be used much together outside of defending a lead potentially and/or away at the top sides - but with Caicedo's injury status a bit murky we badly need someone with legs as cover at minimum

It's fine but it's risky. Lavia is one full sprint away from being out for 4 months. James' injury record is better of late but he's also a player whose minutes we have to manage carefully. Caicedo is currently injured.

I think we messed with this whole thing by saying no to Everton for Zirkzee. If Everton got ZZ, they wouldn't have got Balogun. Then Monaco would've had to sell Camara to raise some cash.
